About the job

Flexible, part-time executive appointment, initially requiring a few days per month. The role will be mainly remote, with occasional attendance in London and elsewhere in the UK.

About NoriaHealth Ltd

NoriaHealth Ltd provides international healthcare coordination, business development and advisory services.

Our main service, Noria Health Hub, is a premium international medical coordination platform. We support private and international patients seeking rapid access to a global network of doctors, hospitals and medical specialists. We aim to arrange an initial medical assessment and a fully coordinated care pathway within 48 hours. Where clinically appropriate and subject to medical availability, we may also coordinate access to surgery within ten days.

As we develop our UK activities, we are seeking an experienced and commercially minded professional to join the board as a part-time UK Managing Director and Company Director of NoriaHealth Ltd.

This is a genuine executive role with responsibility for managing, representing and developing the company’s activities in the United Kingdom.

The role

You will take responsibility for the local management, commercial development and operational oversight of NoriaHealth Ltd’s UK activities.

The workload will be deliberately limited at the outset, with a small number of prospects and assignments. The level of involvement may increase progressively as the business develops, particularly during the first three months.

You will work closely with the company’s other Directors, including the Director with primary responsibility for financial oversight.

Key responsibilities

UK management and governance
• Join the board as a Company Director of NoriaHealth Ltd and participate actively in board decisions.
• Take responsibility for managing and developing the company’s UK activities.
• Exercise independent judgement and genuine decision-making authority within an agreed delegation framework.
• Implement the strategy approved by the board.
• Represent the company in dealings with UK clients, partners, suppliers and professional advisers.
• Oversee local partners, service providers and any future UK-based team members.
• Ensure that key commercial and operational decisions are properly documented.

Business development for Noria Health Hub
• Develop Noria Health Hub’s client and patient base in the UK and internationally.
• Identify and approach suitable referral partners, intermediaries and premium client networks.
• Build relationships with private medical practices, clinics, hospitals, insurers, businesses, family offices, concierge services and other relevant organisations.
• Present Noria Health Hub’s services to prospective clients and partners.
• Manage prospects from initial contact through to commercial agreement.
• Help define commercial propositions, partnerships and routes to market.
• Contribute to increasing the number of qualified prospects and active clients.

Healthcare partnerships
• Support the development of Noria Health Hub’s international network of doctors, clinics, hospitals and healthcare providers.
• Assess the quality and suitability of potential partners.
• Negotiate appropriate commercial and operational arrangements.
• Help ensure that patients receive a responsive, discreet and high-quality service.

Advisory services
• Identify opportunities for short-term advisory assignments in healthcare, strategy, coordination, organisation and business development.
• Contribute to proposals, quotations and statements of work.
• Negotiate and manage selected client engagements.
• Coordinate suitable advisers, experts or healthcare professionals where required.

Commercial and financial oversight
• Negotiate, approve and sign routine client, supplier and partnership agreements within an agreed delegation of authority.
• Contribute to the preparation of the UK operating budget.
• Approve routine expenditure within agreed limits.
• Monitor revenue, expenditure, sales activity and commercial performance.
• Review financial performance and cash-flow requirements with the Director responsible for financial oversight.
• Liaise with the company’s UK accountant and professional advisers when required.

The company already has a Director with primary responsibility for financial oversight. You will not be expected to undertake bookkeeping or act as Finance Director, but you must be comfortable working with budgets, commercial figures and financial reporting.

Candidate profile

• Significant experience in general management, business development, consultancy, private practice or professional services.
• A proven ability to build commercial relationships and convert opportunities into clients.
• A sound understanding of corporate governance and the responsibilities of a UK Company Director.
• Experience in healthcare, private medicine, financial services, professional services, concierge services or another premium client environment would be advantageous.
• The confidence to negotiate, make decisions and represent the company with senior stakeholders.
• The ability to work independently within a small, international and entrepreneurial organisation.
• Strong communication, relationship-building and organisational skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Residence in the United Kingdom and availability to attend meetings in London when required.

Experience in international healthcare, private medical services, patient coordination or cross-border business development would be particularly valuable.

Semi-retired senior executives, independent consultants, former business leaders and professionals with a portfolio of compatible roles are welcome to apply.

Working arrangements

• Part-time executive directorship.
• Initially a few days per month.
• Flexible working arrangements.
• Mainly remote.
• Occasional meetings and business development activities in London and elsewhere in the UK.
• Regular coordination with the company’s other Directors and international partners.
• Potential for increased involvement as the business grows.

Decision-making authority

The successful candidate will have genuine authority to manage routine UK operations, develop commercial relationships, negotiate and approve appropriate agreements, select local suppliers and service providers, approve expenditure within an agreed budget and delegation framework, and represent NoriaHealth Ltd in the United Kingdom.

Major strategic decisions, significant investments and matters reserved for the board or shareholder will remain subject to their approval.

Remuneration

Remuneration will be agreed according to the successful candidate’s experience, professional network, availability and expected level of involvement. The package may include a fixed fee for the directorship and time commitment, together with performance-related remuneration linked to clients, revenue or successfully developed business.

How to apply

Please send:
• a short CV or professional profile;
• a brief summary of your relevant management and business development experience;
• your current location in the United Kingdom;
• your earliest possible starting date;
• your expected availability each month; and
• your availability for an initial video interview.
