About the job
The Company
FreightPOP is a leading provider of AI supply chain software. As a fast-growing, venture-funded startup, we believe growth creates opportunities for everyone on our team and that accelerated experience + adaptive learning = career success. Our shipping and logistics software is easy to use, highly configurable, offers Expedia-like rate shopping, and connects seamlessly to other software to provide a real-time, integrated, and connected transportation management solution. FreightPOP is uniquely positioned for hyper-growth in one of the largest and fastest-growing global markets.
FreightPOP is an equal opportunity employer seeking only the most driven, entrepreneurial-minded individuals to join our journey. We are a purpose-driven company that fosters a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability. At FreightPOP, you will be a critical member of our team that operates on the principles of autonomy and accountability.
Role Summary
FreightPOP is an ISV partner of NetSuite in their SDN program. The NetSuite Solution Architect is an individual contributor who owns the technical and product direction of FreightPOP's NetSuite integration and SuiteApp. This is not a developer role and not a generalist product role. It is a judgment role: the person who can walk into a customer's NetSuite environment, understand what is running and why, translate that into clear product decisions, and hand well-scoped specifications to our NetSuite development team.
This role sits at the intersection of product, technical architecture, and sales enablement. Roughly 60% of the focus is internal: advance the integration build at enterprise-grade quality, owning the NetSuite product roadmap, serving as the NetSuite subject matter expert for our engineering team, and navigating AI capabilities within the NetSuite ecosystem to keep FreightPOP ahead of the curve. The remaining 40% is external: joining pre-sales calls on large NetSuite opportunities, conducting customer environment discovery, and supporting implementation quality on complex accounts.
This hire is not just a headcount addition. It is how FreightPOP acquires NetSuite domain knowledge that cannot be built internally fast enough to match the pace of customer demand and partnership opportunity.
What You Will Do
NetSuite Product Ownership (60%)
- Own the FreightPOP NetSuite SuiteApp product roadmap: prioritize features, define acceptance criteria, and keep the integration ahead of customer and partner expectations.
- Serve as the internal NetSuite subject matter expert for product, engineering, and customer success teams.
- Conduct dependency analysis in customer environments: review scripted records, identify script conflicts, and translate findings into clear specs for the development team.
- Build and maintain a knowledge base of common third-party bundle conflicts, managed vendor patterns, and integration gotchas across the NetSuite ecosystem.
- Evaluate and apply NetSuite AI capabilities (including native AI features, MCP connectors, and workflow automation tools) to drive differentiated TMS functionality within NetSuite.
- Collaborate with engineering team on architecture decisions for the SuiteApp, ensuring scalability across diverse customer environments.
- Define and improve the customer onboarding process for the NetSuite integration, including the discovery questionnaire, scripted records review checklist, and expectation-setting framework.
Pre-Sales and Customer Enablement (40%)
- Join prospect calls as the technical NetSuite authority on large deals, demonstrating deep credibility with ERP buyers and NetSuite administrators.
- Support implementation quality on complex accounts by advising the development team during active customer onboarding.
- Engage with NetSuite's partner team to maintain alignment on roadmap, certifications, and co-development opportunities.
What We Are Looking For
Required
- 3+ years of hands-on NetSuite experience in a solution architect, technical consultant, or senior implementation role at a NetSuite Alliance Partner or ISV.
- Direct experience working on or alongside a NetSuite SuiteApp or ISV product, not just customer-facing implementations.
- Ability to read, interpret, and diagnose SuiteScript; comfortable reviewing script execution logs, scripted records, and workflow configurations in a customer environment.
- Strong understanding of NetSuite's integration architecture including SuiteScript, SuiteFlow, SuiteAnalytics, REST and SOAP APIs, and managed bundles.
- Demonstrated ability to translate technical findings into product decisions and developer-ready specifications.
- Experience managing or contributing to a product roadmap for an ERP integration or connected SaaS product.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to operate credibly across technical developers, customer ERP administrators, and executive stakeholders in the same conversation.
Strongly Preferred
- Experience in manufacturing and/or transportation and logistics verticals within the NetSuite ecosystem.
- Familiarity with NetSuite's AI capabilities and emerging tooling, including agentic workflows and MCP-based integrations.
- NetSuite certifications such as SuiteFoundation, Administrator, or Developer.
- Experience in a pre-sales or sales engineering capacity on ERP or integration-heavy SaaS products.
- Familiarity with integration middleware tools such as Boomi, Celigo, or MuleSoft.
- Background working with ISV partners or inside a software vendor that sells into the NetSuite ecosystem.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Location
This role is open to remote candidates. Candidates based in or near Orange County, CA or Nashville, TN are strongly preferred given our team presence in those locations.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills
- Accuracy and attention to detail in technical documentation and product specifications.
- Ability to conduct structured root cause analysis on ERP script conflicts and integration failures.
- Proficient time management with the ability to manage multiple customer and internal workstreams in parallel.
- Aptitude for staying current on NetSuite platform updates, AI tooling, and ISV ecosystem developments.
- Ability to read and interpret API documentation and translate it into actionable product or integration guidance.
- Comfortable working in an Agile environment alongside engineering teams using Jira and Confluence.
- Strong written communication skills for producing specs, discovery summaries, and customer-facing documentation.
This isn't just a job. It's a chance to own a domain.
FreightPOP is growing fast in one of the world's largest markets. The NetSuite ecosystem is expanding. AI is reshaping how ERP and TMS products connect. We are looking for someone who sees all of that and wants to be the person who figures out how FreightPOP wins inside it.
