About the Role
We are looking for an Implementation specialist who will own the deployment of TJM Labs’ system with pharmacy customers.
This is not a coordination or project management role. You will be responsible for figuring out how TJM Labs should actually work within each pharmacy’s operations.
Every pharmacy operates differently. Departments change, workflows evolve, and edge cases appear constantly. Your job is to understand those details, design the correct workflow, and ensure the system behaves exactly as intended.
You will work directly with pharmacy teams to map workflows, configure automation logic, test scenarios, and ensure a successful launch.
At any given time you may be managing ~10 active implementations simultaneously, each with different operational nuances. The work requires exceptional attention to detail, strong reasoning ability, and the discipline to track many moving pieces without things slipping through the cracks.
You will work closely with engineering, operations, and sales, but you own the implementation outcome end-to-end.

Responsibilities
Customer Implementation

  • Lead implementation calls with pharmacy teams and operational stakeholders
  • Deeply understand each pharmacy’s workflows, operational constraints, and edge cases
  • Design how TJM Labs should integrate into those workflows
  • Configure and test automation logic to ensure the system behaves correctly
  • Identify missing information, inconsistencies, or operational risks during setup
  • Run scenario testing to validate system behavior before launch
  • Launch new customers and ensure the system performs as intended

Operational Problem Solving

  • Break down complex workflows into clear automation logic
  • Anticipate edge cases and operational exceptions before they cause issues
  • Diagnose problems quickly and determine whether the root cause is configuration, workflow, or system behavior
  • Work closely with engineering when product changes are required

Customer Ownership

  • Maintain clear communication with pharmacy teams during implementation
  • Ensure expectations are clear and timelines move forward
  • In some cases, continue managing the account after launch or transition it to another team member

About You
This role is best suited for someone who naturally thinks in systems and details. Much of the job involves noticing inconsistencies, asking the right follow-up questions, and working through operational edge cases before they cause problems.
You will likely do well in this role if the following feels natural to you:

  • You notice inconsistencies quickly. When someone explains a workflow, you instinctively identify missing steps, unclear assumptions, or edge cases.
  • You ask the right questions. You are comfortable probing until you fully understand how something actually works in practice.
  • You can translate real-world processes into clear logic. You enjoy breaking down complex workflows into structured steps that can be implemented in a system.
  • You stay organized across many parallel threads. You can manage ~10 implementations at once while keeping decisions, workflow logic, and next steps clearly documented.
  • You take ownership for outcomes. If something is unclear or not working as expected, you investigate and resolve it rather than waiting for direction.
  • You operate well in fast-moving environments. Priorities shift quickly, and you can context switch frequently without losing accuracy or attention to detail.

This Role May Not Be a Good Fit If

  • You struggle to context switch frequently. In this role, priorities shift often and you may move between multiple implementations throughout the day while still maintaining focus and accuracy.
  • You are uncomfortable receiving direct, candid feedback. We value fast learning and open communication.
  • Your default reaction when something goes wrong is to blame external factors or other people, rather than first asking what you could have done differently.
  • You prefer environments where responsibilities are narrowly defined. This role requires high ownership and the ability to figure things out independently.

Experience

  • 4+ years of professional experience in full-time roles (excluding internships)
  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced startup environment required
  • Experience with U.S. healthcare operations strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Technical / Operational Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Comfortable learning new systems and workflows quickly
  • Highly organized in tracking many concurrent details
  • You have personally built or configured AI or automation workflows (not just used ChatGPT for writing).

Hiring Process
Because this role requires a high degree of ownership and independent thinking, our hiring process is rigorous.
Final candidates should expect:

  • Three reference calls, including at least two former direct managers
  • Background check

Why This Role Is Unique
You will be working directly on the operational layer where AI meets real healthcare workflows.
The problems are rarely obvious, the environments are constantly changing, and the solutions require both careful thinking and practical judgment.
If you enjoy solving messy real-world problems and building systems that make frontline healthcare teams more effective, this role offers significant ownership and growth potential.
