AI Product Designer

Tessact is building the UX layer for AI creation. We help teams make better videos faster, together, and we care about making the product feel clear, fast, and premium.

We’re looking for a senior AI Product Designer who can turn messy AI capability into clear, native product experiences. This is a zero-to-one IC role focused on finding the right interaction model, making it feel obvious, and shipping it with taste.

What You’ll Do

• Design and build high-craft product experiences: Own key surfaces end to end, from concept through polished delivery. Use layout, interaction, and motion to make complex behavior feel simple and safe.
• Work AI first with Codex/Cursor/Claude Code: Use LLMs, Codex, Cursor, and Claude Code as your starting point. Draft intent, explore implementations, scaffold workflows, and iterate with AI in the loop. Apply your own judgment to refine quality.
• Build native workflows for AI. Shape the full journey from input to preview to refine to export, including retries, variants, and edge cases.
• Bridge design systems, product, and brand: Translate Tessact’s product principles into reusable components and patterns so the experience stays coherent as we expand.
• Reveal what our agents are doing without noise: Design progress, previews, state changes, and recovery moments that build trust without turning the product into a log or dashboard.
• Champion performance and accessibility: Ship experiences that are fast, accessible, responsive, and robust. Pay attention to semantics, focus states, reduced motion, and loading behavior.
• Share AI-native workflows: Document the prompts, patterns, and prototype methods you use so the rest of the team can move faster and learn from them.

What We’re Looking For

• Someone who does not just make interfaces, but simplifies systems.
• Strong interaction design and product thinking.
• Experience designing complex workflows, especially AI-driven or automation-heavy ones.
• A strong sense of what makes a creator feel confident in the output.
• Clear communication and strong collaboration with PMs and engineers.
• Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to define the workflow before the product is fully formed.

Good to Have

• Experience in creator tools, video products, or AI workflow products.
• Experience building or scaling design systems.
• Comfort prototyping in code or working closely with front-end engineers.

Portfolio Requirement

• Workflow redesigns are the strongest signal.
• We especially want to see before-and-after thinking on messy, multi-step products.
• Bonus if you have worked on AI, media, content creation, or other complex creation tools.
• We care more about clarity, decision-making, and shipped impact than just polished screens.
