About The Role

We’re building something that runs on clarity, precision, and accountability. Every number tells a story, and we need someone who doesn’t just “do bookkeeping” but lights up with responsibility, takes pride in ownership, and treats their role as a professional commitment.

You will manage daily financial transactions—sales, bills, expenses—using Billy.dk, ensuring records are accurate, organised, and fully compliant with Danish accounting standards. You’ll own your department autonomously and confidently, take initiative, and communicate proactively. This is a role for someone who brings both bookkeeping expertise and a strong sense of ownership — a person with a natural proclivity to take responsibility and leadership, and is by effortless nature: reliable, committed, driven and responsive.

This role has real influence as your work will directly impact the transparency, stability, and growth of the organisation.

What You’ll Do

• Manage and record daily financial transactions (sales, expenses) in Billy.dk, ensuring records are accurate, organised, and fully compliant with Danish accounting standards.
• Reconcile accounts and maintain accurate financial records
• Prepare reports that provide clarity and insight
• Ensure compliance with Danish accounting and tax regulations
• Spot discrepancies and take initiative to resolve them
• Communicate clearly, proactively, and responsibly

This UNPAID opportunity is FULLY REMOTE, flexible and part-time.

Who You Are:

• Someone with at least 3 years previous experience as a bookkeeper in Denmark
• Experienced with Billy.dk software (or a willingness to learn it)
• You thrive when in charge and taking ownership, and pride yourself on being self-led and consistently dependable
• You’re highly reliable, proactive, and communicative as your natural default
• Able to commit approximately 10 hours per week to this project because this work would be enjoyable for you (and not a burden)
• Someone with a strong understanding of Danish tax regulations and accounting standards
• Experienced in preparing annual reports for tax purposes in Denmark
• A person who will treat this work and this role with the respect, seriousness and sincerity it deserves, despite it being a voluntary position
