Media Client Liaison (Independent Contractor)

Position Overview
JUS Official Services is seeking a proactive and highly communicative Media Client Liaison to identify, connect, and place clients into media opportunities including podcasts, interviews, news features, digital publications, and other press-related appearances.
This role is responsible for sourcing media opportunities and matching them with suitable clients, creators, executives, and public-facing individuals who benefit from increased visibility and press exposure.
This is an independent contractor role focused on relationship-building, outreach, and media placement, with uncapped commission potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify podcasts, media outlets, news platforms, blogs, and digital publications for potential client features.
- Pitch clients for interviews, guest appearances, and press coverage opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with podcast hosts, producers, journalists, editors, and media outlets.
- Match clients with relevant media opportunities based on niche, audience, and goals.
- Conduct outreach via email, LinkedIn, direct messaging, and other professional communication channels.
- Coordinate interview scheduling and media placements between clients and media partners.
- Maintain a pipeline of active media opportunities and outreach activity.
- Track placements, responses, and conversion rates across media channels.
- Ensure professionalism, accuracy, and brand alignment in all outreach efforts.
- Support ongoing press visibility strategies for clients across multiple industries.

- Podcast guest appearances
- News interviews and features
- Online magazine articles
- Blog features and guest posts
- YouTube interviews and channels
- Industry publications and newsletters
- Creator and influencer interviews
- Live-streamed interviews or panels
- Press and PR campaigns
- Thought leadership features and commentary placements
Qualifications
Required
- Strong communication and outreach skills.
- Ability to research and identify relevant media platforms.
- Comfortable pitching and initiating conversations with media professionals.
- Highly organized with strong follow-up habits.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Professional written communication skills.
- Reliable internet connection and access to a computer.
Preferred
- Experience in public relations, media outreach, talent booking, journalism, marketing, or communications.
- Familiarity with podcast ecosystems, media outlets, and digital press platforms.
- Existing network of media contacts (podcasters, journalists, editors).
- Experience in influencer marketing, PR campaigns, or talent promotion.
Compensation
This is a commission and/or placement-based independent contractor opportunity.
Media Client Liaisons earn compensation based on:
- Successfully secured media placements
- Completed interviews or published features
- Commission per booked or confirmed media opportunity
- Performance bonuses tied to high-value press placements or recurring relationships
There is no hourly wage or salary unless explicitly agreed upon in writing. No employee benefits, paid time off, or guaranteed workload is provided.
Independent Contractor Status
This role is offered exclusively as an Independent Contractor (1099) position.
Contractors are responsible for their own tools, scheduling, taxes, and business expenses. This role does not create an employer-employee relationship.
Background Check Requirement
All applicants must successfully complete a criminal background check prior to onboarding or access to client or media coordination systems.
Failure to successfully complete the required screening may result in disqualification.
