Chief Engineer
Job Title: Chief Engineer – Facilities Maintenance
Job Type: Full-Time
Place of Performance: Culpeper, VA
Schedule: Full-Time (On-call for emergencies)
Summary:
The Chief Engineer will provide technical leadership for all building systems and maintenance operations, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation of critical mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and utility systems.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of commercial or institutional facilities maintenance experience.
- At least three (3) years supervising maintenance personnel.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read construction drawings and technical manuals.
Duties:
- Supervise maintenance personnel and daily operations.
- Develop preventive maintenance schedules.
- Troubleshoot complex building system failures.
- Coordinate major repairs and subcontracted work.
- Review work orders and maintenance documentation.
- Ensure facility systems remain operational at all times.
