Role Overview
As an SDET at Lovelocal, you will contribute to ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our products through automation and testing best practices. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and fellow QA engineers to build and maintain automated test suites, identify defects early, and improve overall software quality. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about quality engineering and eager to grow in a fast-paced product startup environment. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of testing at Lovelocal.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for web, mobile, and backend applications.
Design and execute test cases, test scenarios, and regression test suites.
Perform API testing and validate backend services using tools such as Postman or similar.
Identify, document, and track software defects through resolution.
Collaborate with developers and product teams to understand requirements and define test strategies.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of automation frameworks and testing processes.
Participate in CI/CD workflows and ensure automated test coverage in deployment pipelines.
Perform functional, integration, regression, and exploratory testing.
Monitor product quality metrics and proactively highlight risks.
Document test plans, test cases, and quality assurance best practices.
Required Qualifications:
2-4 years of experience in software development and test automation.
Expertise in Python programming languages .
Advanced knowledge of test automation tools and frameworks like Selenium, Appium, Playwright, Pytest.
Strong experience with API testing tools like Postman, Python Requests.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI.
Good understanding of SQL queries, database concepts, and data validation techniques
Proven experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or Gatling.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Nice to Haves
Familiarity with Docker and containerized environments.
Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Experience using AI-powered testing tools or GenAI tools to improve testing productivity.
Personal projects, open-source contributions, or automation frameworks built independently.
