We're looking for a technical co-founder who wants to build a category-defining PropTech company from the ground up.

Role Overview

As Co-Founder & Chief Technology Officer, you will define and execute Areezo's technology vision while building a scalable AI platform for real estate investing.

You'll work directly with the CEO to lead product development, architect scalable infrastructure, and build an engineering organization capable of supporting rapid growth.

This is a true co-founder role, requiring both hands-on technical leadership and strategic thinking. You'll have significant influence over product direction, technology strategy, fundraising, product-market fit, and company growth.

We're looking for a builder first—a CTO who enjoys writing production code, making architectural decisions, and leading by example while building a world-class engineering culture.

Key Responsibilities

Technology Leadership

• Define and execute Areezo's long-term technology strategy.
• Architect scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure.
• Drive technical decisions that support rapid product development and future scale.
• Ensure engineering quality, security, performance, and maintainability.

AI & Product Development

• Lead development of Areezo's AI-powered real estate investment platform.
• Expand our GenAI capabilities that help investors discover markets, analyze neighborhoods, evaluate deals, and make investment decisions.
• Design intelligent workflows using Large Language Models and structured AI outputs.
• Work closely with the CEO to prioritize product features based on customer feedback and business goals.

Engineering Leadership

• Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing engineering team.
• Establish standards, development workflows, code review practices, and release processes.
• Own the complete software development lifecycle from architecture to deployment.

Innovation & Strategy

• Continuously evaluate emerging AI technologies and identify opportunities to improve the platform.
• Help shape product strategy and long-term technical roadmap.
• Support fundraising by participating in technical due diligence and investor conversations.
• Represent Areezo in discussions with technical advisors, partners, and strategic investors.

What We're Looking For

Required

We're looking for a technical co-founder with experience in most of the following:

• Expert-level TypeScript and modern JavaScript
• Building production SaaS applications with React and Next.js
• Backend development using Node.js and serverless architectures
• Firebase ecosystem (Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Functions, Security Rules)
• Designing scalable APIs and data models
• Production experience integrating LLM APIs (Anthropic, OpenAI, or Gemini), including structured outputs, tool calling, prompt engineering, and cost optimization
• Stripe subscriptions, billing, and webhook integrations
• Building secure, scalable SaaS platforms
• Establishing CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and engineering best practices
• Experience leading engineering teams while remaining a hands-on contributor
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to build a company—not just software

Preferred

Experience with one or more of the following is a plus:

• PostgreSQL or other relational databases
• Data engineering and analytics platforms
• Vector databases and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
• Machine learning or predictive analytics
• PropTech, GIS, or real estate data platforms
• Startup or technical co-founder experience
• Experience building products used by paying customers

Compensation

This is an equity-only co-founder position.

Compensation includes:

• Meaningful co-founder equity based on your experience, technical leadership, long-term commitment, and overall contribution to the business.
• Equity allocation may also reflect any financial investment made into the company.
• Deferred salary beginning after the successful completion of Areezo's seed funding round.
• Significant long-term upside tied directly to the company's growth and success.
