Role Description
This is a full-time, Software Engineer role working remotely from anywhere, U.S. preferred. The Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and scaling features across our learning and assessment platform, from frontend interfaces to backend services.

Responsibilities include day-to-day development across the full stack, building and integrating AI-powered functionality, and supporting product initiatives from concept to launch. The role will also involve writing clean, well-tested code, maintaining the assessment and credentialing infrastructure, and collaborating closely with the broader product and design teams to drive user engagement and a high-quality experience.

What You Will Do
Use AI coding tools to design, build, and ship software faster and at higher quality
Build and maintain automated workflows and agents that take manual, repetitive tasks off your plate
Design, develop, and maintain features across the web application, from frontend interfaces to backend services
Build and integrate AI-powered functionality, including LLM-based features, evaluations, and orchestration logic
Develop and maintain the assessment and credentialing infrastructure that scores and verifies user proficiency
Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code, and participate in code reviews
Contribute to technical decisions, including architecture, scoping, and prioritization
Track and improve application performance, reliability, and quality
Collaborate with product, design, and content teams in a fast-moving environment

Qualifications
1–3 years of experience in software engineering or a related role
An AI-first mindset — you reach for AI tools by default to build faster, smarter, and at greater scale
Hands-on experience using AI tools and building agents with ChatGPT, Claude, and Generative AI models for coding, research, and product work
Experience building automated workflows and connecting tools to eliminate manual work
Hands-on experience building and shipping full-stack web applications
Strong skills with a modern web stack such as TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, and PostgreSQL
Solid understanding of building, testing, and maintaining production software
Strong problem-solving skills and comfort working in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Have
Experience integrating LLM APIs into production applications a plus (prompt engineering, RAG, evaluations, streaming)
Familiarity with B2B or B2C SaaS products a plus
EdTech experience a plus
Experience with real-time or interactive web technologies such as WebGL or Three.js a plus
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive, test-and-learn mindset
