Business Development Manager — Software Consulting & Client Acquisition

About the Role

MoonSofts is hiring a Business Development Manager to help us find qualified clients, manage outreach, support discovery conversations, and grow our customer pipeline.
This is a client-facing growth role for someone who understands startups, software services, and consultative sales. You will work closely with our engineering team to understand client needs and help move opportunities from first conversation to project proposal.

Responsibilities

• Identify potential clients, startups, founders, and small businesses that need software development support
• Manage outreach through LinkedIn, email, startup communities, and professional networks
• Schedule and support discovery calls with prospective clients
• Understand client problems and communicate them clearly to the engineering team
• Help prepare proposals, service packages, and project scope documents
• Maintain lead tracking, follow-ups, and basic sales pipeline updates
• Represent MoonSofts professionally in client conversations

Ideal Candidate

• Experience in business development, sales, account management, SaaS, software consulting, or startup services
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable speaking with founders, business owners, and non-technical clients
• Able to understand software service offerings at a high level
• Organized, consistent, and comfortable with outbound outreach
• Interested in helping an early-stage software company grow
