Backend Developer – Decentralized App (Rust / Blockchain)

We're building something meaningful on the blockchain and are looking for a backend developer with strong interest in decentralized technology.

Cashier Team is building infrastructure for loyalty, rewards, and engagement. Our platform allows businesses to create incentive campaigns that reward users for actions such as signing up, referring others, or completing tasks (all without requiring complex engineering or third-party integrations).

What You’ll Do:

• Implement backend systems and services for a decentralized application
• Develop core logic in Rust, tailored to the Internet Computer (ICP) blockchain
• Stay up to date on evolving Internet Computer technologies (e.g. NFT standards, canisters, cycles) and proactively engage with Dfinity and the developer community
• Help the team make informed technical decisions by sharing learnings and best practices
• Contribute to future cross-chain work involving Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and others

About You:

• 1+ professional working experience with Rust
• Working knowledge of blockchains
• Fast learner, strong problem solver, driven, and autonomous
• Thrives working with complexity systems or architecture
• You thrive in fast-moving environments where documentation might be sparse, and take initiative to fill in gaps

Bonus (Preferred but not required):

• Expereince with Internet Computer Protocol (ICP)
• Exposure to decentralized identity, NFT infrastructure, or advanced canister design
