About the job
Sixth Wall is an AI-integrated design and human performance firm based in Tampa, Florida, operating at the intersection of interior design, behavioral science, somatic methodology, and AI-integrated research systems. We don't decorate spaces: we engineer environments that actively change how people think, perform, rest, and move through their lives.
Our methodology, Life.Style Alchemy, synthesizes research across behavioral neuroscience, nervous system science, and environmental psychology into a proprietary framework currently in development for public launch. Every intern who joins this cohort contributes directly to that infrastructure: their research, documents, and systems become the curriculum itself.
Sixth Wall is a registered Florida LLC. This is not a traditional internship. It is a founding-era contribution.
About This Role
This intern builds the operational and financial infrastructure of Sixth Wall's founding year. The work covers the systems that make everything else possible: SOPs and internal manuals, service contracts and program agreements, financial structure and bookkeeping setup, client payment systems, contractor and employee compensation documentation, and grants research as one component of the broader build. This is not a task-management role. It is founding-stage infrastructure work.
What You'll Build
- A finalized SOP and internal manual library: operational procedures documented, formatted, and filed for permanent use
- A service agreement and contract framework: template contracts for design services, consulting, and coaching engagements
- A financial architecture document: program pricing logic, service fee structures, and profitability modeling for each service tier
- A payment and bookkeeping infrastructure setup: Stripe client payment configuration, contractor and employee payout structure, QuickBooks chart of accounts and bookkeeping cadence
- A 1099/W-2 contractor and employee documentation framework: classification guidelines and payment record templates
- A grants and funding pipeline: categorized grant database organized by deadline, eligibility, and alignment, with draft narratives for Quick Win targets
What You'll Learn
- How to build operational infrastructure for a design and methodology firm from the ground up: the systems layer most professionals never see
- Payment platform architecture (Stripe, QuickBooks) at an implementation level, not just conceptual
- Contract and agreement drafting: how to translate a service model into legally coherent documentation
- Grant research and narrative writing: translating a founder's vision into funder language
- AI-assisted document production at professional level: using Claude and other tools to build, format, and finalize operational documents at speed
What We're Looking For
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Operations Management, or a related field: sophomore year or above
- Demonstrates precision in writing: application materials should reflect this without prompting
- Comfortable building systems and processes that don't yet exist: this is a founding-stage environment, not a maintenance role
- Has worked with or studied business operations tools: QuickBooks, Stripe, Excel financial modeling, or equivalent
- Motivated by building things that outlast their involvement: operational infrastructure, not deliverables for their own sake
- Open to working across disciplines: this role touches design, wellness, and behavioral science in addition to business systems
- Grant writing experience is a significant plus: not required, but name it clearly if applicable
Tech Requirements
- Claude AI or equivalent LLM: active use for document production and research
- Google Workspace: Docs, Sheets, Drive: proficient
- Airtable: willingness to learn required; prior experience a plus
- QuickBooks or bookkeeping software: any exposure is a plus
- Stripe or payment platform experience is a plus. Code writing is a plus. Automation tools (Zapier, Make) are a plus.

How to Apply
Submit through Wellfound Include: resume, a brief statement (250–400 words) on why this role and why now, one work sample demonstrating operational or financial writing: a process document, financial model, contract draft, or any professional document produced: and a document or written confirmation from your school's internship or career services office stating your institution's specific hour-per-credit requirement for internship course credit. Shortlisted candidates will receive a link to a brief assessment form. Application deadline: July 8, 2026.
