We are not building slideware. We are not selling generic AI chatbots. We work directly with customers, understand their operations, build useful systems, and ship them into production.

The Role

We are hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer to work directly with customers and build AI-powered systems inside their businesses.

This is a high-ownership role for someone who can sit with a customer, understand the real problem, scope the solution, build the first version, and keep pushing until it works in production.

You will be part engineer, part product thinker, and part operator. You should be comfortable writing code, talking to customers, making tradeoffs, and moving quickly without perfect requirements.

What You’ll Do

• Work directly with customers to understand workflows, pain points, data sources, and business objectives.
• Design and build AI systems, internal tools, agents, automations, dashboards, and integrations.
• Turn vague customer problems into scoped technical solutions.
• Build prototypes quickly, then harden them into reliable production systems.
• Integrate with APIs, CRMs, databases, internal tools, communication platforms, and customer-specific software.
• Work closely with Linkt’s engineering and sales teams during discovery, scoping, deployment, and expansion.
• Write clean, practical code that solves the problem without overengineering.
• Help define repeatable implementation patterns as Linkt scales.
• Own customer outcomes, not just tickets.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong software engineering ability, especially in full-stack, backend, data, or applied AI systems.
• Ability to speak to and understand customers. Communicate business probelms into technical requirements, and vice versa
• Experience building real applications with modern tools and frameworks.
• Comfort working with LLMs, agents, embeddings, retrieval, workflow automation, and API integrations.
• Ability to move fast in ambiguous environments.
• Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Good product judgment: you know when to build, when to simplify, and when to push back.
• High agency. You do not wait around for perfect instructions.
• Willingness to work directly with customers and be accountable for business outcomes.
• Excitement about being in the office and building with a small, intense team.

Nice to Have

• Experience in consulting, implementation engineering, solutions engineering, or forward deployed engineering.
• Experience with enterprise software, government, education, healthcare, logistics, financial services, or other operationally complex industries.
• Experience with tools like Python, TypeScript, React, Node, FastAPI, Postgres, Supabase, MongoDB, AWS, Vercel, Retool, LangChain, OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar.
• Prior startup experience.
• Experience owning customer deployments from discovery through launch.
