Founding Engineer (Full Stack)

We are MachSeven. We are not building a generic learning management system. We are building an adaptive learning engine that actually understands how a student thinks.

The Opportunity: Founding Engineer

This is not a standard developer job. We are looking for a Founding Engineer. You will be taking complete ownership of the technical architecture from day one and building this product from the ground up. We need someone who is ready to take immense responsibility, treat the product as their own, and stick with the company for the long haul to see our vision become reality.

The Stack

• Frontend: Next.js 15 and TypeScript
• Backend: FastAPI and PostgreSQL
• Live & Media: Real time WebSockets and Cloudflare Stream
• Payments: Razorpay

What You Will Build Next

The Adaptive Engine Foundation: You will architect the backend and database schema to support real time adaptive problem selection with under 200ms response times. You will work directly on transitioning our knowledge tracing from BKT to deep models.

• Student Facing Platform: A clean, zero distraction web app featuring full LaTeX rendering for complex equations, integrated diagrams, and a dynamic three tier hint system.
• Live Classroom & Video: Implement real time WebSockets for live classroom environments and integrate Cloudflare Stream with adaptive bitrate streaming for low latency video delivery.
• Complex Data Architecture: Design schemas capable of traversing dense prerequisite dependency graphs and tracking individual student and concept mastery states.
• Monetization Pipelines: Build out the payment infrastructure using Razorpay to handle subscription management and gating logic.**

Who You Are

• You have serious experience building and scaling complex, data intensive applications.
• You do not just take tickets; you make the core architecture decisions.
• You know how to optimize PostgreSQL for heavy read and write operations and complex relational queries.
• You care deeply about UX and performance. A clunky, slow interface is unacceptable to you.
• You are fully committed to stepping into a foundational role, taking ownership of the outcome, and growing alongside the company.

The Details

• Compensation: 1.5 Lakh to 2.0 Lakh INR per month.
• Location: Work from office in Bangalore.
• Start Date: Immediate joiner preferred.
