About the Role
This individual is required to work well within a dynamic team environment, be a self-motivated learner. This person will be responsible to help manage and maintain Future Electronics Microsoft Technology environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and continuously improve the WSUS environment for Microsoft patch deployment and compliance.
- Administer and support the Windows Server environment, including:
File Servers
Print Servers
DHCP and DNS Servers
Active Directory (AD) servers, user accounts, and security groups
Various application servers, including IIS and Web Applications
- Assist in managing the organization’s Citrix environment.
- Support and administer the Microsoft 365 environment, including:
Azure AD / Entra ID
Microsoft 365 applications
- Participate in the on-call pager rotation.
- Resolve Level 2 support tickets escalated from the Help Desk team.
- Support and maintain additional enterprise technologies, including:
- VMware infrastructure
- Exchange (on-premises environment)
Experience:
- 2–3 years of experience in Windows-based network and systems administration.
- 2–3 years of experience in desktop support, system setup, and deployment.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with Active Directory administration.
- Strong networking knowledge, including:
DNS
WINS
DHCP
- Experience with scripting languages such as VBScript or PowerShell is considered an asset.
- Experience working in virtualized environments (VMware) is an asset.
- Microsoft and/or VMware technical certifications are considered an asset.
