About Lens
Lens is building the trust infrastructure for the information age. Our IQS (Information Quality Score) gives institutions, publishers, AI labs, and end users a defensible, methodology-driven way to evaluate the reliability of any piece of content — at internet scale.
We're in a pivotal commercial moment: a 12-month revenue path mapped across 10 enterprise verticals, hundreds of priority accounts active in pipeline, and a $500M close target this month. The numbers behind that story need an owner.
The role
We're hiring a Financial Analyst to sit directly under our CFO and build the financial backbone of a category-defining company. You'll own the models that drive our investor narrative, our pricing decisions, our hiring waves, and our capital deployment. This is a role for a self-starter and quick learner — not a decision-making role. You'll execute alongside executive leadership and grow into bigger calls as you prove the work.
If you've built models at a high-growth SaaS or media-infrastructure company and you want the next one to be on the cap table, this is that move.
Honest framing on comp. We're a pre-close venture and we hire that way. This role is equity-only between start date and our funding close. Once the round closes, cash compensation activates going forward at the $120K base — not retroactive to start date. You keep your full equity grant regardless. We're asking you to bet on us with the bridge, the way founders bet on themselves. If that doesn't sit right with you, it's not the role.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain the master financial model: ARR / NRR / GRR / CAC / LTV / sales-capacity / hiring-wave projections across our 10 commercial verticals
- - Own the investor-facing data room — board materials, monthly KPI packages, scenario analyses for the close and beyond
- - Partner with executive leadership on pricing, deal-desk economics, and commission-plan modeling for our enterprise sales team
- - Build the operating budget and reforecast cycle that lets us run lean while we scale
- - Translate the unit economics of a brand-new licensing market (IQS is novel; the benchmarks need to be built from primary data)
- - Work with our research team to instrument the metrics that prove our flywheel for institutional buyers
Who you are
- 3–5 years in financial analysis, FP&A, investment banking, or growth-equity associate work — ideally with exposure to enterprise SaaS, media, or AI infrastructure
- - You can build a three-statement model from a blank tab. You can also pull it apart and explain every cell to a board
- - You're comfortable with novel revenue models — usage-based, licensing tiers, channel splits, retainers — not just SaaS-101 subscription math
- - Excel / Google Sheets fluency at the level where pivot tables, INDEX-MATCH, and array formulas are reflexes; familiarity with at least one BI or modeling tool (Causal, Mosaic, Pigment, Anaplan, or equivalent)
- - SQL proficiency to pull your own data when the question can't wait
- - You write tight. Your models have a one-page executive summary on the first tab and you can defend every assumption underneath
- - Bias for shipping. We work at the pace of a 2-week sprint, not a quarterly cycle
Bonus
- CFA Level 1+ or completed investment banking analyst program
- - Experience modeling for a fundraise (pre-IPO, Series B–D, or growth equity)
- - Built a model that's been used in a real board meeting (and survived the questions)
- - Background in media, AI, or trust/safety infrastructure
- - Comfortable in front of investors when the CFO is in another room
What we offer
- Equity: meaningful grant in a venture defining a new category — sized at founding-team level given the timing of your join
- - Cash compensation: $120K base, activates at our funding close, going forward from that date. Not retroactive to start. Documented in your offer letter as a contractual trigger, not a verbal promise
- - Health, dental, vision — activates with cash compensation
- - Unlimited PTO with a 3-week floor from day one
- - A workspace in NYC with the people building the company in the room with you
- - A founding-team seat in a venture closing $500M and operating against a Jan 2027 product roadmap that we will hit
How to apply
Send a resume, a short note on the most interesting financial model you've built and what it taught you, and one line on why the equity-first structure works for you right now. If you can attach a sanitized version of that model, you'll move to the top of the stack.
We move fast. Expect a screen within 48 hours of a strong application and a final decision inside two weeks. We will be transparent at every step about where the close stands.
