Senior Electrical Engineer Helios Innovations LLC (on behalf of client) • Scottsdale, AZ • Full-Time, On-Site • Competitive Base + Equity

Our client is a venture-backed energy tech company commercializing a proprietary modular power platform, deployed across portable hybrid-fuel systems and compact utility-scale wind turbines, for remote industrial sites, mission-critical backup applications, and AI load centers.

This is a full-ownership engineering role, not a support position. You'll define electrical architecture and carry designs from concept through bring-up, validation, and production release, working directly with engineering leadership on system-level decisions.

What you'll own:
→ End-to-end design of mixed-signal, digital, and power electronics subsystems (DC-DC converters, motor drives, high-voltage systems, supercapacitor interfaces)
→ FPGA-based control and signal processing development in VHDL or Verilog — simulation through hardware validation
→ Board bring-up and debug across power electronics and digital subsystems using advanced lab instrumentation
→ Production-grade schematics, BOMs, and PCB layouts in Altium
→ DFM collaboration with contract manufacturers and PCB fabs through NPI and production release
→ Test automation using Python or MATLAB for data acquisition and validation workflows

You're a fit if you:
→ Have 8–12 years of hardware product development experience with a track record of taking designs to production
→ Bring deep hands-on power electronics experience — DC-DC conversion, motor drives, energy storage interfaces, or high-voltage systems
→ Have meaningful FPGA development experience (VHDL or Verilog) including synthesis and hardware validation
→ Are an expert Altium user who can independently debug complex board-level failures
→ Are based in Arizona and available for full-time on-site work in Scottsdale
