About the job

The problem is real. The timing is now. The architecture hasn't been built yet.

EU crypto-asset firms operate inside five overlapping regulatory frameworks — MiCA, DORA, PSD2/PSD3, MiFID II, and AML/CFT — each interpreted differently by national regulators, each intersecting with the others in ways that no published guidance fully resolves. The cost of misalignment is not primarily legal fees: it is a business plan that conflicts with itself, a compliance function that cannot hold all five obligations coherently, an authorization file rebuilt from scratch because NCA expectations were not anticipated.

DADA OS encodes the practitioner knowledge that resolves these conflicts — the gap between what each regulation says and what each authority actually expects — into a structured, queryable intelligence system. This is a knowledge representation and multi-regime coherence problem. It is not a document retrieval problem, and it cannot be solved with a standard LLM-plus-corpus approach.

We are pre-seed, building the founding team. The company intelligence is being seeded through a structured sprint with senior EU compliance practitioners — people who have filed authorization applications, run live compliance functions, and negotiated directly with national regulators. We need a technical co-founder to architect and build what those sessions produce.

What You Will Build
Knowledge architecture. A data model that encodes structured practitioner knowledge in a form that can be queried, updated, and reasoned across five regulatory frameworks simultaneously. Multi-regime coherence — not single-framework lookup. Graph structures, structured ontologies, rule-based conflict detection, and LLM-mediated reasoning are all relevant; the architecture is yours to design and defend.

Intelligence pipeline. The feedback loop from day one: practitioner-seeded in the early phase, reinforced by structured data from every client engagement thereafter. The data moat is only real if the architecture captures and compounds usage data in a form competitors cannot replicate.

Regulatory monitoring tooling. Automated monitors tracking EU institutional output — ESMA Q&As, EBA technical standards, NCA guidance — surfacing changes that affect the engine's existing knowledge structures.

SaaS platform. The full product layer end-to-end — frontend, backend, infrastructure, data pipelines, API design, security, and auditability. Making a fundamentally complex compliance domain navigable to the practitioners who use it daily.

The Paid Assessment
This engagement begins with a 2–4 week paid technical assessment ($4,000 flat fee) before any equity commitment. The deliverable: a proof-of-concept for one layer of the data model, or a working prototype of the regulatory monitoring tool.

As part of the assessment, you attend at least one session of a Regulatory Intelligence Sprint running in July 2026 — a structured working series with senior EU compliance practitioners seeding the engine's initial corpus. Sessions run in the EU afternoon (approximately 7–10 AM Mountain Time). Your attendance is part of the assessment: it gives you direct exposure to the domain complexity and working dynamic before either party commits.

A successful assessment leads directly to the co-founder equity conversation. The assessment fee is separate from and not credited against the equity grant.

Base salary of $100K–$120K takes effect upon closing of the pre-seed round, anticipated in Q4 2026. During the paid assessment period, compensation is a flat $4,000 fee.

Who You Are
A builder who has shipped real products end-to-end and can move from a blank repo to something working fast
Technically senior and full-stack — you have made architectural decisions at the data model level, not just implemented what you were given
Drawn to knowledge representation problems — you find the question of how to encode expert knowledge, make it queryable, and reason across it genuinely interesting
Experienced with LLMs in production — not as a novelty but as a component in a larger system; you know where they fail and design accordingly
Product-minded — you think about users, not just architecture
Ready to be a true partner — you want to build a company, not join one

Technical Requirements
Python and/or TypeScript; modern full-stack web development
Knowledge graph technologies or graph databases (Neo4j or equivalent), or structured ontology design
Hands-on LLM production experience — RAG pipelines, structured extraction, agent frameworks
Cloud infrastructure ownership (AWS, GCP, or Azure) at early-stage scale
Data pipeline architecture and event-driven systems
Security and compliance posture awareness (SOC 2, data handling, auditability)

Preferred:

Prior founding or early co-founder experience
B2B SaaS or enterprise compliance / legal tech background
Familiarity with EU regulatory frameworks or financial services regulation
Experience collaborating across US–EU time zones

What We Offer
15–20% co-founder equity — meaningful stake, 4-year vest, 1-year cliff, vesting backdated to first day of substantive work
Full autonomy over product, engineering, and design
A complementary co-founder who handles the regulatory, legal, and commercial side — so you can build
Direct access to senior EU compliance practitioners from day one — the people who know what the product must actually do
A large, underserved market with structural tailwinds as EU crypto regulation accelerates through 2026–2027
Fully remote — US-based; EU afternoon overlap required during sprint period (July 2026, approx. 7–10 AM Mountain)

Pre-seed stage. Full product detail, architecture documentation, and team information shared under NDA following initial screening call.
