About the job
We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to own and evolve our cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and platform tooling. You will work closely with engineering teams to design, build, and maintain the systems that keep our products reliable, secure, and performant. This is a high-impact role with significant autonomy and the opportunity to shape how we build and ship software.
Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS, including VPCs, IAM, networking, and resource provisioning following organizational best practices.
Build and maintain Kubernetes clusters for workload orchestration, including writing and managing manifests, deployments, and cluster configurations.
Develop and manage Helm charts for deploying and packaging complex applications across environments.
Implement and maintain GitOps workflows using ArgoCD for continuous delivery to Kubernetes clusters.
Create and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions to automate build, test, and deployment workflows.
Use Crossplane for declarative, Kubernetes-based infrastructure-as-code to manage cloud resources.
Write and maintain Ansible playbooks for configuration management, automation, and deployment scripting.
Embed security throughout the DevOps lifecycle (DevSecOps), including IAM policies, secret management, encryption, and compliance enforcement.
Build and maintain observability infrastructure, including logging, metrics, alerting, and distributed tracing.
Champion code review practices, Git branching strategies, and collaboration standards across the engineering organization.
Drive automated testing integration within CI/CD pipelines to ensure quality and coverage.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Platform Engineering roles.
Deep hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, EKS, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, etc.).
Strong proficiency with Kubernetes, including cluster management, workload orchestration, and troubleshooting.
Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or similar platforms.
Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Crossplane, Terraform, or Pulumi.
Solid experience with Helm for Kubernetes package management.
Working knowledge of ArgoCD or similar GitOps continuous delivery tools.
Experience with configuration management tools, particularly Ansible.
Strong understanding of security best practices: IAM, secrets management, encryption, and compliance frameworks.
Proficiency with Git, including branching strategies and pull request workflows.
Excellent troubleshooting skills across distributed systems and cloud environments.
Must be a US citizen
Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on experience with Crossplane for infrastructure-as-code, including authoring Compositions and managing cloud resources via Kubernetes-native APIs.
Experience with observability platforms (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, Datadog, ELK stack, or similar).
Familiarity with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd).
Experience operating in a fully remote engineering organization.
Knowledge of container security scanning and runtime protection tools.
Contributions to open-source DevOps tooling or community projects.
Based in or near Atlanta, GA (not required but preferred for occasional in-person collaboration).
What Success Looks Like in This Role
Cloud infrastructure that is reliable, secure, and scales with the organization
CI/CD pipelines that ship software quickly and safely
Kubernetes platforms that are observable, resilient, and maintainable
Security and compliance practices embedded across the engineering lifecycle
Strong collaboration across engineering, product, and operations
