Product Designer

Carberry & Hanrahan is a small Irish design studio working with startups and product teams building modern B2B SaaS tools and digital products.

We’re looking for a Product Designer who’s ready to take ownership, move fast, and design thoughtful, high-quality product experiences.

What you'll do

• Lead UX/UI design across web apps, mobile products, and marketing pages
• Turn user insights into clear, usable product experiences
• Build and evolve scalable design systems for real-world teams
• Present your work directly to clients and explain design decisions with confidence
• Collaborate closely with developers to ship high-quality implementations
• Work across multiple projects in a fast, async-friendly environment
• Use AI tools to speed up ideation, UX writing, prototyping, and exploration
• Keep files clean, structured, and ready for handoff every week

What we're looking for

• 1–3 years of experience in product design, UX, UI, or interaction design
• A portfolio showing shipped or near-shipped product features
• Understanding of core UX principles (usability, hierarchy, accessibility, flows)
• Experience working with or contributing to design systems
• Experience conducting User Research and UX Research to gather insights for informed decision-making
• Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams, and excellent communication of design concepts
• Ability to balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints
• Detail-oriented with a passion for creating exceptional user experiences
• Interest in designing AI-powered features (chat interfaces, assistants, recommendations)
• Ability to use prompt-based workflows and AI-assisted prototyping or a willingness to learn.

Tools you'll use

We work with a modern, AI-augmented design stack:

• Design & Prototyping: Figma, Framer, AI-assisted design tools (e.g. Claude-based workflows)
• Documentation & Collaboration: Notion
• Communication: Slack, Zoom, Loom
• AI tools for ideation, copy, prototyping, and research support

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
