About the Role

We are looking for an AI Fullstack Engineer to help build practical software products that bring AI into real operational workflows.

This role focuses on building end-to-end product features across the frontend, backend, data layer, and AI integration layer. You will work on tools that help users interact with complex information, generate and review content, organize structured outputs, and improve workflow efficiency through AI-assisted systems.

This is a strong fit for someone who enjoys building real products, working across the stack, and turning ambiguous business or domain requirements into reliable, user-friendly software.

What You Will Do

Build Fullstack Product Features

• Design and implement user-facing workflows, dashboards, forms, review interfaces, and document-heavy product experiences
• Build frontend components with strong attention to usability, performance, and maintainability
• Develop backend APIs, data models, and service logic to support production workflows
• Collaborate with product, operations, and domain experts to translate real-world needs into software features

Integrate AI Into Real Workflows

• Build AI-assisted features that go beyond a simple chat interface
• Work with prompts, structured outputs, validation logic, and error handling
• Help ensure AI outputs are useful, consistent, and appropriate for sensitive or high-context workflows
• Create workflows where users can review, edit, verify, and improve AI-generated results

Backend, Data, and System Design

• Design and maintain database schemas, APIs, and application logic
• Support authentication, permissions, secure data access, and system reliability
• Work with cloud-hosted backends, serverless functions, or traditional API services
• Build integrations with internal or external systems when needed

Quality, Testing, and Iteration

• Help measure and improve the quality of AI-assisted features
• Create lightweight tests, regression checks, or evaluation workflows
• Debug edge cases and improve product behavior over time
• Keep the codebase maintainable, scalable, and easy to reason about

Security and Responsible Development

• Follow best practices for protecting sensitive information
• Maintain clear separation between client-side code and server-side secrets
• Support auditability, access control, and responsible deployment of AI features
• Collaborate with stakeholders in environments where accuracy, privacy, and reliability matter

What We Look For

• Strong proficiency in TypeScript / JavaScript and React or a similar modern frontend framework
• Experience building fullstack applications, not just isolated UI components
• Comfort working with APIs, backend services, databases, and cloud-hosted systems
• Strong understanding of product quality, user experience, and system reliability
• Hands-on experience with AI or LLM-powered features, such as structured outputs, prompt workflows, tool use, or validation logic
• Ability to make practical engineering tradeoffs around cost, latency, caching, batching, and system complexity
• Strong problem-solving ability and clear communication skills
• Ability to work with non-engineering stakeholders when requirements are nuanced or evolving

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
• Experience building end-to-end software features
• Proficiency in at least one programming language; Python experience is preferred
• Experience working with backend systems, APIs, databases, or fullstack applications
• Ability to work with ambiguous, real-world data and translate it into structured, usable outputs
• Strong system design thinking and attention to implementation details

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with any of the following is helpful, but not required:

• AI, machine learning, NLP, or data processing workflows
• LLM application development
• Structured output generation and validation
• Cloud databases, serverless functions, or backend-as-a-service platforms
• SQL / Postgres or similar relational databases
• Document processing, rich text editing, export workflows, or file-based pipelines
• Healthcare, enterprise software, or regulated industry experience
• Privacy, security, compliance, or audit-related product requirements
• Building tools for internal operations, documentation workflows, or complex review processes

Working Style

You are comfortable moving between product thinking and implementation. You can take a vague workflow, break it into clear technical pieces, and build a solution that is practical, maintainable, and useful.

You enjoy working with designers, engineers, operations teams, and subject-matter experts. You care about product quality, but you also understand how to move quickly, test assumptions, and improve systems through iteration.
