About LANS
LANS is a coworking day pass marketplace that lets people book curated workspaces instantly, without needing a monthly membership.
We’re live across the U.S. and help people access neighborhood coworking spaces, creative studios, operator-led spaces, and professional environments they actually want to spend the day in.
Think less “office rental platform,” more “access layer for places worth working from.”
We’re looking for a writer who can help us sharpen our voice across landing pages, city pages, blogs, app copy, partner emails, and social content.
What you’ll work on
You’ll help write and improve copy across:
SEO landing pages for coworking day passes in different cities
Blog posts around remote work, coworking, hybrid work, and workspace discovery
Homepage and product page copy
App store copy, CTAs, short sections, and onboarding text
Space descriptions and local city content
Partner/operator-facing copy
Casual social replies and short-form content ideas
The writing needs to be clear, useful, and search-friendly, but not boring.
We do care about SEO and LLM visibility, but we don’t want generic keyword-stuffed content. The voice should feel human, local, and slightly more internet-native than traditional coworking copy.
We like writing that is:
simple
specific
useful
local when possible
casual without being sloppy
search-friendly without sounding robotic
vibey without being fake
You might be a good fit if you
Have strong English writing skills
Can write clean product copy and longer SEO content
Understand basic SEO structure: titles, H1s, meta descriptions, internal links, FAQs
Can adapt to a brand voice quickly
Know how to write for humans first, search engines second
Are comfortable using AI tools, but don’t rely on AI to produce generic drafts
Can take feedback and revise quickly
Have some taste for startups, consumer apps, hospitality, travel, coworking, or local discovery
Bonus points
You’ve written for marketplaces, consumer apps, travel, hospitality, coworking, or local discovery products
You understand how people search for things like “coworking day pass near me” or “places to work from in San Francisco”
You can write short social-style copy without sounding like a brand account
You understand LLM visibility and how clear page structure helps AI/search systems understand a product
What we’re not looking for
We’re not looking for generic content-farm SEO writing.
Please don’t apply if your writing mostly sounds like:
“Our innovative platform empowers modern professionals with seamless flexible workspace solutions.”
That is exactly what we are trying to avoid.
Example first projects
Rewrite copy for a city landing page
Write a blog post like “Best Places to Work Remotely in San Francisco”
Improve space descriptions so they feel more local and useful
Create FAQ sections for SEO and LLM visibility
Write 10 casual social replies where LANS is mentioned naturally
Help us build a repeatable voice and SEO content system
How to apply
Please send:
A few writing samples
A short note on why this role is interesting to you
Your hourly rate or monthly retainer range
A quick rewrite of this sentence:
“Find flexible coworking spaces near you with day pass options.”
Rewrite it in a way that feels more natural, useful, and aligned with LANS.
Applications with generic AI-written cover letters will probably be skipped.
