Role Description
This is a remote role for a Senior DevOps Engineer based in DC, Maryland, Virginia (DMV) area, with occasional work from client sites. You will build and automate the infrastructure that keeps mission-critical systems running, designing CI/CD pipelines, scaling platforms and hardening production environments. You will work alongside software engineers, ML engineers and product managers to ship reliable, high-performance solutions at pace. Must-have requirements
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in DevOps engineering, with a proven track record of building scalable, reliable, and high-performance infrastructure for production systems.
- Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g Terraform, CloudFormation) with extensive hands-on experience designing and managing AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Demonstrated expertise in CI/CD pipelines, automating deployment workflows, and ensuring seamless integration and delivery of code across multiple environments.
- Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana)
- Deep understanding of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes and Argo, including experience with scaling and securing containerized workloads.
- Experience with high-availability systems, disaster recovery strategies, and building infrastructure that meets rigorous uptime and performance requirements.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with software engineers, product teams, and leadership to align infrastructure goals with business objectives.
Desirable requirements
- Experience with compliance frameworks such as FedRAMP and CMMC, including implementing and maintaining infrastructure controls to meet certification requirements.
