Job Description
What you can look forward to as a Quality Engineer:
- Adhere to company corporate principles, quality standards, and automotive/customer requirements.
- Monitor and evaluate manufacturing processes and product quality to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Develop, maintain, and retain quality documentation, including procedures, risk analyses, audits, recalls, complaints, scrap, and rework records.
- Interpret engineering drawings and measurement requirements, including GD&T, and support engineering changes for quality compliance.
- Provide guidance and training to manufacturing personnel on quality systems, tools, and best practices.
- Apply quality, problem-solving, lean, and continuous improvement tools to drive root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally, communicate effectively, escalate issues when necessary, and support team objectives to protect customers.
- Act with an auditor mindset focused on compliance and improvement, supporting special projects and additional assigned duties.
Your profile as a Quality Engineer:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 3–4 years of relevant experience (internships/co-ops included).
- Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, techniques, practices, and design principles.
- Experience with engineering change management systems and product lifecycle processes.
- Proven problem-solving ability using sound judgment aligned with established standards, policies, and procedures.
- High level of analytical thinking, creativity, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and all levels of personnel and management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and English language skills (verbal and written).
