AI QA Automation Engineer

As an AI Test Automation Engineer, you will lead efforts to modernize and scale our QA practice through intelligent automation and AI-powered tooling. You'll design and maintain automated test frameworks, integrate AI tools to accelerate test generation and defect detection, and work closely with Product, Engineering, and Support teams to ensure a high-quality user experience across our platform. Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities:

• Design AI-augmented automated test suites across web and mobile applications
• Maintain and improve current Playwright test suite
• Leverage AI tools (e.g., Copilot, LLM-assisted test generation) to accelerate test script creation and coverage
• Identify and implement opportunities to apply AI/ML to defect detection, anomaly identification, and test prioritization
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and continuously improve test reliability and speed
• Analyze test failures, apply AI-assisted root cause analysis, and collaborate with developers to resolve issues
• Write and triage defects with clarity, distinguishing showstoppers from backlog items
• Support pre-release testing, software deployments, and on-call alert response
• Evaluate and integrate third-party AI-powered QA tooling (e.g., QA Wolf, AI-driven test platforms)
• Proactively research emerging AI testing methodologies and champion adoption across the engineering team
• Partner with the team to continuously raise the bar on test coverage and quality standards

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience with automated testing frameworks
• Hands-on experience with Playwright; familiarity with Appium a plus
• Demonstrated experience using AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar) to enhance testing workflows
• Familiarity with LLM-based test generation, intelligent test selection, or AI-driven QA platforms
• Experience with JIRA and writing clear, actionable bug reports across web and mobile
• Strong ownership mindset — takes initiative, works well independently and in teams
• Adaptable and able to context-switch across issues; strong time management skills
• Eagerness to stay current with the rapidly evolving AI tooling landscape
