About the project

We are building Romania's first open marketplace for home services — starting with cleaning, expanding into childcare and elderly care. The platform connects independent service providers with verified clients, with provider-set pricing, a real availability calendar, and flexible payment (cash or card via Stripe). We are launching simultaneously in Cluj-Napoca and Bucharest.

The market is validated. The problem is real and active. We are not building a concept — we are building a product that people are already looking for.

What you will build

• Full marketplace web platform — mobile-responsive, two user roles (client + service provider)
• Provider profiles with identity verification, availability calendar, and per-service pricing
• Booking flow with Stripe Connect integration — escrow logic, split payments, cash + card hybrid model
• Post-confirmation review system with mutual rating unlock
• SMS and email notification layer
• Admin panel for onboarding moderation and platform management

What we are looking for

• Strong full-stack experience — Next.js, React, Node.js or equivalent modern stack
• Hands-on experience with Stripe Connect or similar payment infrastructure
• Ability to work independently and make architecture decisions without hand-holding
• Experience building marketplace or booking platforms is a strong advantage
• Supabase or similar BaaS experience is a plus
• Someone who builds fast, ships clean, and communicates clearly

We are looking for 2–3 developers for this role. You do not need to be local — the team works remotely, with optional in-person sessions in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.

Timeline

We are targeting an MVP-ready platform within 8–12 weeks from the start date. The scope is defined, the architecture decisions are open for discussion, and we move fast. If you need a long onboarding ramp, this is not the right project for you.

Compensation

Equity co-founder position — no salary at this stage

We are not in a position to offer a salary during the build phase. In exchange, we offer a meaningful co-founder equity stake in the company, structured as an associate position in the Romanian SRL under a shareholders' agreement (pact de asociați), with vesting conditions tied to delivery milestones. This is legally supported under Romanian company law. The exact equity percentage is negotiable based on experience, the number of co-founders joining, and the scope of contribution.

We are transparent: this is a high-risk, high-upside opportunity. If you need immediate income, this role is not right for you today. If you believe in the product and want to build something real from the ground up — with equity from day one — read on.
