DevOps Intern

BrainChip is seeking a DevOps Intern to explore cloud-based CI/CD solutions and AI-in-the-loop testing. This is a hands-on project role where you will design, build, and validate a CI/CD pipeline spanning on-premise and cloud environments, and research how AI can enhance testing and quality workflows.

This is a 3-month internship with a flexible start date. The role requires on-site presence due to hands-on work with physical infrastructure.

Project Scope

• Research AI-in-the-loop CI/CD tools and provide recommendations for integrating AI into testing and quality workflows
• Set up a cloud-based CI/CD environment capable of managing runners across multiple sites
• Create sample repositories with code and tests in GitHub to validate the pipeline
• Configure and deploy an on-premise runner at our US site
• Configure and deploy a cloud-based runner (AWS or Azure)
• Build and document a complete CI/CD pipeline that executes across on-premise and cloud environments

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
• Hands-on lab experience with microcontrollers and peripheral devices
• Proficiency in Python and/or C/C++
• Familiarity with Git and GitHub workflows
• Strong problem-solving and documentation skills
• Ability to work on-site in Laguna Hills, CA
• US citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CI/CD platforms (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Experience with containerization (Docker)
• Interest in DevOps, infrastructure automation, or site reliability engineering
• Experience with AI coding assistants or LLM-based development tools
• Interest in AI agents and agentic workflows
