🚀 Technical Co-Founder
Build the platform infrastructure for the impact economy
(unpaid until funding raise concluded)
About Impact Match
We help those that Do Good find what they need to achieve their mission and scale their impact sustainably.
Climate goals are not being met, impact organisations are losing subsidies, budgets are being cut and those helping to change the world and helping the people on it are suffering the most. With businesses closing, funding being lost, and huge economic uncertainty, a lack of visibility and a lack of time, money or skills to make the change.
That’s why we’re building the future of how Do Good projects achieve their mission, collaborate and scale their impact, sustainably! A low-cost accessible, cross-sector, cross-geographical ecosystem and smart platform that is designed to help impact-driven organisations where they are at and where they need it most. Whether it’s finding tools, resources, knowledge, potential customers or enabling synergistic partnerships that can help them where and when they need it most — across sector & geographical location.
What We’re Building
ImpactMatch is an AI-powered B2B SaaS two-sided marketplace that connects impact organisations (non-profits, social enterprises, climate tech startups) with corporate partners, funders, and resources. Think of it as the ecosystem engine for the Do Good sector.
The platform has several core layers:
- Comprehensive organisation profiles — with project creation, needs & opportunities, strengths and strategic fit at the centre. Organisations deposit data, documents (strategy docs, project briefs, policy documents), and the platform uses that to enrich their profile and improve matching.
- A matching engine — connecting impact organisations with the right corporate partners, funders, sponsors, and service providers based on thesis, needs, and strategic fit.
- A requests & offerings pipeline — a marketplace where organisations can launch requests, find opportunities, and apply for partnerships or funding.
- Impact dashboards & ESG/CSRD reporting — giving corporates structured data to meet their sustainability reporting obligations (ESRS S3) while tracking real outcomes.
- A corporate module — enabling companies to manage CSR partnerships, mentoring programmes, employee engagement, and donation packages.
- .... and many more
We’re building this as both a web-based SaaS platform and a mobile app. The product needs to feel native on both, because our users — non-profit coordinators, social workers, corporate CSR managers — work on the go as much as at their desk.
We already have a working prototype, a detailed product backlog with phased plans (database schemas, onboarding flows, matching logic, document processing pipelines, feed algorithms), and real user validation. What we need now is the technical co-founder who can turn this into a production-grade platform — fast.
The Role
We’re pre-funding, at a pivotal point of our growth where we are coming to an inflection point and are getting ready to move to the next point of acceleration, with funding talks that are ongoing and partnerships being cemented. We are looking for the final piece of our puzzle: THE Technical co-founder who builds SaaS platforms. Someone who has been in the trenches shipping real products — authentication flows, subscription billing, role-based access, API integrations, responsive UIs, mobile-first experiences. Someone who can take a detailed backlog and turn it into a living, breathing product that users love.
Your primary focus will be building the core SaaS platform and mobile app. Getting the infrastructure right: the database architecture, the API layer, the frontend, the subscription and billing logic, the onboarding flows, the corporate module, the organisation profiles, the request pipeline, the feeds, the dashboards. The stuff that makes a SaaS product actually work and retain users.
AI and machine learning capabilities (matching algorithms, document processing, smart search) are a critical part of our roadmap, but we have dedicated expertise for that layer. Your role is to build the platform that those AI features plug into — and to collaborate closely with the team on integrating them seamlessly. You’ll need to understand how AI/ML features work at an integration level, but you won’t be expected to build the matching engine or the NLP pipelines yourself.
We’re looking for a Co-Founder who builds fast, thinks in systems, and wants to help shape the product and the organisation itself. Someone who sees technology as a strategic lever — deeply connected to user needs, continuously iterating for performance, usability, and retention. You jump in on product decisions, you’re hands-on in the codebase, and you think about how every feature connects to the bigger ecosystem. Someone with as much passion, curiosity, heart and skin in the game as us.
This is a true co-founder role: you’ll work as a tag team with the other founders on many exciting challenges from building use cases, tackling funding rounds to prototyping. Challenging each other, sharpening the vision, and standing side-by-side through the highs and the lows. We’re offering an equity position as a co-founder but are also open to considering payroll.
If this appeals to you and you want to join us on this journey as our Co-Founder, to help those that are helping people that need it most and are working everyday to make our world a better place, then keep reading, and who knows we might just be a match!
🧬 Your Background
You likely recognise yourself in several of these:
• You’ve built and shipped SaaS products from MVP to production — not just features, but full platforms with authentication, billing, user management, and dashboards
• You’ve built or scaled web applications and mobile apps in an early-stage startup, scale-up, or product-driven organisation
• You know what it takes to build a two-sided marketplace or B2B/B2B2C platform — onboarding flows for different user types, role-based access, multi-tenant architecture
• You’ve made architectural decisions under pressure with imperfect information — and iterated fast based on what you learned
• You’ve owned the full stack end-to-end — not just features, but performance, reliability, and user experience
• You understand API design and integration patterns — you know how to build a platform that other systems (including AI/ML services) can plug into cleanly
• You’re comfortable operating with ambiguity, limited resources, and fast feedback cycles — you don’t need a perfectly scoped ticket to start building
• You’ve worked with or within non-profits, social enterprises, sustainability initiatives, or mission-driven platforms — or you have a strong, proven affinity with the sector
• You’ve collaborated closely with founders, product, and marketing, and shaped product direction through technical insight and user empathy
• You think in systems (data flows, platform architecture, user journeys, feedback loops), not isolated features
Formal titles don’t matter. What matters is that you’ve done the work, learned from it, and want to go deeper.
🧠 Your Mission
As CTO & Co-Founder, you will:
• Build the core SaaS platform — organisation profiles, project creation, matching interfaces, request pipelines, corporate modules, dashboards, and admin tools
• Develop the mobile app experience alongside the web platform — ensuring a seamless, native-feeling experience on both
• Design and implement multi-tenant architecture that powers localised action platforms (white-label ecosystems) on shared infrastructure
• Build onboarding flows for different user types — volunteers, citizens, non-profits, for-profits, municipalities — each with their own journey and permissions
• Implement subscription, billing, and AI credit systems that support our freemium-to-premium revenue model
• Build clean APIs and integration points so that AI/ML capabilities (matching, document processing, smart search) can be integrated seamlessly as they’re developed
• Set up and maintain CI/CD, testing, monitoring, and DevOps so the team can move fast without breaking things
• Translate user feedback and product vision into technical solutions that are elegant, pragmatic, and fast to ship
• Work closely with the CEO to co-design the solution, not just implement it — you’re shaping the product, not executing specs
• Make smart build-vs-buy-vs-integrate decisions that maximize speed and minimize waste
• Move fast, learn fast, and iterate without ego
You’re not “supporting development” — you’re owning the product.
🛠️ What You’re Strong At
We’re not looking for a checklist developer. We’re looking for someone who knows how to learn, build, and adapt. That said, experience in several of the areas below is important:
• Building full-stack web applications with modern frameworks (React/Next.js, Vue, or similar for frontend; Node.js, Python, or similar for backend)
• Building mobile apps — whether native (React Native, Flutter) or progressive web apps — that feel polished and performant
• Designing SaaS and platform architectures — multi-tenant, role-based access, subscription management, API-first design
• Working with databases and data models (PostgreSQL, Supabase, or similar) — designing schemas that scale and support complex queries
• Setting up cloud infrastructure and DevOps (AWS, GCP, Vercel, or similar) — CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, automated deployments
• Rapid prototyping — getting from idea to working demo in days, not months
• Integration architecture — building clean APIs that AI/ML services, external data sources (KBO, public registries), and third-party tools can plug into
• Security and data privacy fundamentals — GDPR is part of our reality and our users trust us with sensitive organisational data
• Experience with or strong affinity for non-profits, sustainability, or impact-driven organisations
Startup experience is a big plus — especially if you’ve worked in environments where the product was still being figured out and you had to iterate quickly based on real user feedback.
🧩 Who You Are
• You take ownership and don’t wait to be told what to do
• You follow tech communities, open-source projects, and product development trends with genuine curiosity
• Building things is a part of who you are — side projects, open-source contributions, or weekend experiments
• You are kind, open, and curious
• You can explain complex technical decisions to non-technical people clearly and patiently
• You have strong opinions, loosely held — you debate ideas, not egos
• You love exploring new tools, frameworks, and approaches to find what actually works
• Experimentation is a part of who you are — you’d rather test a hypothesis than debate it for weeks
• You’ve worked in impact, sustainability or ideally social profit or non-profit!
• When you hear a problem you instinctively start thinking about how to solve it
• You have your own identity and thrive in a team
• You care deeply about impact, not just technical elegance
• You’re curious, critical, and self-reflective
• You’re here to build something meaningful — together
We value diversity, so please don’t hold back if you think you might be a fit!
🤝 How We Work Together
You’ll collaborate closely with the CEO as a thinking partner, not a service function:
• We challenge each other — respectfully and honestly
• We have strong opinions and are willing to change our minds
• We brainstorm relentlessly on how our visions intersect and strengthen each other
• We care about traction, impact, and long-term value — not vanity metrics
• We show up when things are hard, not only when they’re exciting
*This is a relationship built on trust, ownership, and shared responsibility.
*🌱 Our Culture (Read This Carefully)
This is not corporate culture. This is founder culture.
• Anyone can challenge anything — regardless of role
• Ownership exists, but responsibility is shared
• People say what they want and what they need — openly
• We think beyond our job titles
• We default to “and”, not “but”
• We apply 80/20 thinking: maximum learning, minimal waste
• If we don’t clearly object, we’re willing to try and learn
• We think in possibilities, not limitations
• Authenticity matters — be blunt, soft, energetic, or calm; just be respectful
• The floor is always open to ask for what you need
• Accountability is non-negotiable
• We think ahead and act without needing permission
• If we commit, we commit fully
• Perceived limitations are risks or opportunities — nothing more
• We think several steps ahead while acting in the present
• Feedback is a gift and a responsibility
• There is no “right or wrong” — only better or worse outcomes
• Reflection starts with yourself
• Play and seriousness both matter
• Failure is expected — learning is mandatory
• Initiative that creates results gets rewarded when circumstances allow
🌍 What’s In It For You
• A true full-time co-founder role with strategic influence
• Meaningful equity with long-term upside potential aligned with commitment and impact
• The chance to shape a platform with real social and economic value
• A founding team that values thinking, honesty, and growth — personally and professionally
• A detailed product backlog and clear vision — you won’t be starting from a blank page, you’ll be building on validated foundations
• Freedom to choose the tech stack, tools, and architecture — and own those decisions
“This is not for you if ...”
• You’re looking to only execute specs handed to you and not take ownership of the product
• Work ends at 17h
• You want clearly boxed off responsibilities
• You prefer managing developers over writing code yourself
• You need everything scoped and documented before you can start building
• You’re looking for a purely technical role with no interest in users, partnerships, or strategy
• You want to build AI models but have no interest in the SaaS platform around them
