Alaris Mail is an AI-powered email client built for commercial real estate dealmakers. We automatically extract tasks, contacts, critical dates, and deal intel from emails so brokers and investors can move faster and never miss a beat.

We have paying customers, a growing waitlist, and a clear product roadmap. Now we need engineer #2 to help us build the future of CRE communication.

About the Role

You'll be the second engineer, working alongside our lead engineer Bethany Hull. This is a frontend-leaning fullstack role, meaning most of your day-to-day will be in React/TypeScript, but you'll also touch the backend (Python/FastAPI) and infra when needed.

We're a small team, so you'll have real ownership from day one. You'll ship features that go directly to customers, help shape architecture decisions, and see the impact of your work immediately.

What You'll Work On

• Building and refining our email client UI (React 18, TypeScript, Vite, Tailwind, Radix UI, Tiptap)
• Integrating AI-powered features (Claude, OpenAI Whisper, Gemini) into the product
• Contributing to backend services (Python 3.11, FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, Celery, Redis)
• Working with our infra (Docker, GCP Cloud Run, GitHub Actions)
• Collaborating directly with the CEO and lead engineer on product direction

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong React/TypeScript skills (this is the core of the role)
• Comfortable working across the stack when needed
• Experience with modern frontend tooling (Vite, Tailwind, component libraries)
• Familiarity with Python backends is a plus
• Self-directed and comfortable in a fast-moving startup environment
• Based in or willing to relocate to Boise, ID
