About the job

Who We Are

At General Medicine, you will become part of a team that is redefining what adult primary care can be — built from the ground up around telemedicine, intelligent technology, and the belief that accessing great medical care should be as seamless as the best consumer experiences.

Founded by the innovators behind PillPack (acquired by Amazon Health), we are a national, tech-enabled medical group on a mission to deliver comprehensive, evidence-based adult care to every patient who needs it. We are an early-stage startup — we move fast, build with intention, and need team members excited to shape the future of care delivery from the ground up.

We are seeking highly motivated physicians who lead with clinical rigor, thrive in fast-moving environments, and are passionate about building something new. As an early team member, you won't just practice medicine— you'll help shape the clinical model, quality standards, and operational playbook for a care delivery system designed to scale.

Our Philosophy

Patient-Centered Access: We meet patients where they are, guided by evidence-based medicine.

Whole-Spectrum Adult Care: Urgent, acute, and primary care supported by an internal subspecialist network. No gatekeeping — we move care forward.

Technology with Purpose: AI-enhanced tools handle intake, documentation, and coordination so clinicians can focus on clinical decisions.

Accessible, Not Concierge: We accept insurance (including Medicare/Medicaid) and self-pay, with a full operational backbone for referrals, labs, and scheduling.

What You'll Do

• Deliver high-quality adult primary care via video and asynchronous (chat/triage) telemedicine — 36 clinical hours per week.

• Care for a diverse patient population including Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries.

• Collaborate with a subspecialist network across medical and surgical disciplines.

• Leverage AI-enhanced workflows (Nabla scribe AI, automated routing, integrated clinical notes) to maximize clinical decision-making time.• Help build clinical guidelines, quality standards, and operational processes as an early team member.

Practice Model

Platforms: Athena (EMR) · Zoom (video) · Zendesk (chat) · Slack (team) · Nabla (scribe AI)

Visit Types: Synchronous video (20-min appointments, max 9 per 4-hr block) and asynchronous triage/chat (3-hr response window).

Shifts: 4–6 hour blocks (Mon–Fri, 7 AM–7 PM MT; weekend/evening expansion underway). Non-clinical tasks handled by operations.

Scope: Adult medicine only. No pediatrics, advanced psychiatry, or controlled substances.

Qualifications

• MD or DO, board-certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.

• 2+ years of experience in primary care clinics.

• Active, unrestricted US medical license (multi-state required; credentialing support provided).

• Significant outpatient primary care experience — seasoned clinicians with depth in ambulatory adult medicine.

• Eligible to see Medicare and Medicaid patients (enrolled or willing to enroll as a participating provider).

• Must reside in the United States and deliver all care from within the US.

• Comfortable with telemedicine platforms and technology-driven workflows. DEA license required for credentialing.

Who Thrives Here

• Bought into our mission — you believe telemedicine, done right, transforms patient care.

• Willing to work hard and wear multiple hats in the early days of a startup.

• Collaborative, low-ego, and comfortable with adaptive workflows and rapid iteration.

• Committed to evidence-based autonomy, continuous improvement, and patient-centered care above all.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation range: $180,000–$200,000 annually, depending on experience, qualifications, and scope of responsibilities.

Equity: Equity stake — you're joining early and will share in the company's growth.

Malpractice: Provided with indefinite tail coverage.

Licensure & Credentialing: Renewals and expedited credentialing covered.

Remote: Fully remote from anywhere in the United States.
