Backend Engineer

We're building X-Streamify, a personal media vault that gives families full ownership and control of their memories, photos, and digital content.

We're looking for a DevOps / Cloud Infrastructure Engineer who wants to build something meaningful from the ground up and take part in a fast-moving startup environment. This role offers the opportunity to design, deploy, and maintain the infrastructure that powers our platform, ensuring reliability, security, and scalability as we grow.

This is an early-stage startup where team members take ownership, move quickly, and help shape the product from the beginning.

Responsibilities

Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred)
Manage servers, storage systems, and deployment pipelines
Monitor system performance, uptime, and reliability
Implement security best practices and data protection measures
Automate deployments and infrastructure management
Troubleshoot system issues and respond to outages
Support backend and frontend teams with infrastructure needs
Help establish scalable infrastructure for future growth

What we're looking for

Strong experience with cloud infrastructure and deployment
Experience working with AWS or similar cloud platforms
Understanding of system reliability, monitoring, and security
Experience with deployment automation and infrastructure management
Ability to troubleshoot production issues quickly
Ability to work independently in a startup environment
Startup mindset — ownership, speed, and problem solving

Preferred technologies (not required)

AWS (EC2, S3, CloudFront, Lambda, etc.)
Docker
CI/CD pipelines
Linux servers
Monitoring and logging tools
Infrastructure automation

Bonus experience (nice to have)

Experience working in startup environments
Experience scaling cloud infrastructure
Experience securing production systems
Experience supporting high-availability platforms
Experience working with distributed systems

Compensation

This is an early-stage startup role offering equity-only compensation at this time.
There is no salary for this position.
