About the Role

As a Network & Security Administrator, you will support, secure, and scale Kenect’s core infrastructure across networks, cloud workloads, identity systems, and endpoints. This hybrid role blends network engineering, systems administration, light help desk escalation, and balanced security engineering.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Monitor performance, uptime, and bandwidth utilization; remediate bottlenecks.
  • Maintain network diagrams, equipment inventory, lifecycle plans, and documentation.
  • Administer identity systems (Azure AD/Entra, JumpCloud), SSO, MFA, and privileged access workflows.
  • Manage Windows/macOS endpoints, MDM policies, baselines, and compliance.
  • Support servers, VMs, cloud workloads, and configuration management.
  • Perform patching, OS updates, secure configuration enforcement, and baseline hardening.
  • Assist in vulnerability management (scanning → triage → remediation tracking) across systems and infrastructure, including vulnerability scans and patching.
  • Participate in incident response from triage to remediation and post-incident improvements.
  • Support cloud security guardrails, IAM hygiene, logging and monitoring maturity.
  • Review EDR/SIEM alerts and assist in investigations as needed.
  • Provide Tier 2–3 escalation support for complex networking, identity, and endpoint issues.
  • Support onboarding, device provisioning, access management, and troubleshooting.
  • Assist during high‑volume support cycles.
  • Contribute to IT automation, scripting, documentation, SOPs, and runbooks.
  • Assist in improving company‑wide AI posture, guardrails, and workflows.
  • Other various duties and cross‑functional projects as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications

  • 3–6+ years in networking, IT systems administration, security, or hybrid infrastructure roles.
  • Strong networking foundations: TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, routing, VLANs, ACLs, VPN.
  • Experience with firewalls, switches, and Wi‑Fi infrastructure (Meraki preferred).
  • Identity experience with Azure AD/Entra, JumpCloud, or similar IAM platforms.
  • Endpoint management on Windows/macOS; Jumpcloud MDM preferred.
  • Cloud security fundamentals (IAM, logging, MFA enforcement).
  • Experience with EDR, SIEM, and basic-to-advanced log analysis.
  • Scripting/automation experience (PowerShell required; others a plus).
  • NIST CSF or similar framework knowledge is a plus.
  • Preferred certifications: CCNA, CCNP, Security+, Network+, and Cloud credentials.
  • Strong communication, documentation, autonomy, and ownership mindset.
