About the Role

This role is about closing the gap between "it works" and "it's live." You'll take prototypes and early-stage builds and turn them into something production-ready: reliable, maintainable, built to last. You're infrastructure-minded—you think about failure modes before you ship. You use AI tools as a natural part of how you build. And you stay calm and decisive when things get complicated. If that final stretch from prototype to production energizes you rather than drains you, this is your role.

What You'll Do

• Harden and refactor early-stage builds into production-grade systems
• Build and maintain backend APIs and services that hold up under real conditions
• Work on data pipelines and ETL processes that power core product features
• Contribute to platform and infrastructure improvements
• Own your work end-to-end—from first commit to monitoring in prod
• Flex into frontend when the team needs it (we're small; everyone does)

What We're Looking For

Technical

• 3–5 years of professional engineering experience, primarily backend
• Strong Python: code you'd be comfortable maintaining six months later
• Solid experience with REST or GraphQL APIs
• Comfortable with PostgreSQL and relational databases
• Strong familiarity with AWS
• Able to contribute frontend code when needed (React / TypeScript)

Compensation & Benefits

• $140,000–$160,000 base salary
