About Alka Intelligence
We are an asset management startup building a proprietary reasoning engine to automate fundamental analysis. We are building Alka Arbiter, a system capable of ingesting vast, unstructured market datasets and transforming them into clear investment mandates. Alka Arbiter will be used to manage our own funds. Unlike standard AI wrappers, our engine is designed to show its work, creating a fully auditable record of why a decision was made. We are looking for builders to help us bridge the gap between stochastic AI models and the rigorous reliability required to manage fiduciary capital.
Locations: San Francisco, Dallas, and Remote
Compensation: $150,000–$240,000 + 0.5–1.0% equity + Pro-Rata Management Fees, commensurate with seniority. (Lower bound adjusted on platform for seniority)
Role Overview
As an Senior AI Frontend Enginer, you'll build the UI/UX for agents that trace investor logic and behaviors.
You will design and implement novel UX beyond the standard chat interface, including visualizations of charts, forecasts, distributions, evidence links, and reasoning graphs. You will understand the investor needs, specifically the need to audit and verify the AI's logic. You will work backward towards a solution, creating designs and driving implementation. You will own considerable portions of our UX and must be comfortable working in a rapidly iterative environment.
We're looking for engineers who are immersed in agents and capable of designing customized systems that support and empower human investors. Critical to our process is your ability to deliver the UI/UX that solves domain-specific investor use cases while increasing their situational awareness.
What You Have
● Passion for building UI/UX optimized for domain-specific problems. Strong data visualization skills, with a focus on building interactive graphs, nodes, or network diagrams (e.g., React Flow, D3).
● Design judgment, not just implementation. You can invent UX patterns for problems that don't have established ones, and your portfolio shows novel interfaces such as node editors, custom visualizations, interactive explainers, and not just admin dashboards.
● Proficiency in modern TypeScript + React and component-driven development (hooks, state management patterns, performance tuning).
● You have an iterative mindset: you develop proof of concepts, make quick decisions, and meet tight deadlines that allow you to quickly deploy production frontends.
● 2+ years of professional frontend software engineering experience or a strong portfolio of personal projects.
● Bonus: you can implement or create lightweight design systems with accessible components. An interest in finance is a plus.
Candidates must be currently residing in the US with valid work authorization or OPT status. H-1B sponsorship is evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Short Answer Questions:
- Complex Outputs: Please describe the most complex and interesting thing you have done with an LLM. Include a description of the specific task, what you accomplished, and the challenges you faced along the way. Feel free to include links and keep your response below 300 words.
- Open-Source Projects (Optional): Please list your open-source projects and portfolios; anything where you used stateful orchestration frameworks (like LangGraph) to govern cyclic, multi-agent workflows would be ideal.
