About the job

Corvid Technologies is seeking a Systems Engineer to lead systems engineering, integration, and test across advanced development programs in resilient navigation/assured PNT and munition lethality optimization. This role leads the end-to-end technical baseline - requirements, architecture, interfaces, verification approach, and integration/test execution - while coordinating closely with Government stakeholders and program partners. The ideal candidate is comfortable bridging modeling and simulation, embedded implementation, and representative testing to mature prototype capability from laboratory demonstrations to relevant-environment validation. This position is expected to provide technical leadership across multiple parallel efforts as programs scale.

This leadership position will join a small, growing team responsible for developing A-PNT hardware technology for a variety of applications. The leader will need to be comfortable working with multi-disciplined team distributed across multiple Corvid locations. The role can be located at any Corvid facility across the country with a preference for joining our team in the Anaheim area. The role will be required to travel for partner/customer meetings as well as test events.

Responsibilities

  • Own the system technical baseline (CONOPS, requirements, architecture, verification strategy)
  • Lead SRR/PDR/CDR/TRR planning and execution; author and review key technical artifacts
  • Manage interfaces and configuration-controlled documentation (ICDs, traceability, test matrices)
  • Lead sensor and subsystem trade studies and integration planning (SWaP-C, environments, measurement accuracy)
  • Integrate mission algorithms (e.g., sensor fusion, navigation) into prototype hardware/software
  • Plan and execute integration and test events (bench, HWIL/HIL, ground tests, flight/live-fire as applicable)
  • Correlate M&S/Monte Carlo results to test data; drive model updates and decision-ready tradeoffs
  • Drive data collection, reduction, and reporting to quantify performance improvements
  • Mentor cross-functional engineers and manage technical risk, scope control, and review readiness

Requirements

  • Candidate must be a US Citizen and meet eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance (preferred candidate will already possess at least a Secret Clearance)
  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline (or related STEM field) and at least 15 years of experience related to systems engineering for defense systems (munitions, sensors, GNC, avionics, or similar)
  • Demonstrated experience both leading and contributing technically from requirements/architecture through SRR/PDR/CDR, followed by executing into integration and test
  • Strong communication skills; able to translate technical tradeoffs into decision-ready recommendations and articulate program objectives/challenges to

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with energetic systems (integration of energetics or integrating systems with energetics), fuzing/arming concepts, or weapon effects/lethality assessments
  • Experience with multi-sensor fusion/estimation and real-time implementation constraints
  • Experience correlating physics-based M&S to test results; familiarity with HPC-enabled Monte Carlo analyses
  • Familiarity with MBSE/SysML (Cameo) and MOSA/WOSA/OMS interface-driven integration
