About the job

BraindAI builds custom AI automation systems for businesses across insurance, cybersecurity, healthcare, and professional services. We are not a product company. We are not an agency. We are a team of builders who embed deeply into a client's operations, understand how their business actually runs, and then architect AI systems that create real, measurable impact.

Our tech stack is modern and practical: n8n for workflow orchestration, Supabase and PostgreSQL for data, Claude and OpenAI APIs for intelligence, Next.js and React for frontend, and Notion as our operational backbone. We move fast, ship constantly, and hold ourselves to a high bar.

We are a small team. That means every person matters enormously. There is no place to hide, and no need to. If you do great work, everyone sees it. If you ship something that breaks, everyone sees that too. We want people who thrive in that environment.

Compensation - INR 1,00,000 - 1,50,000

Who We're Looking For

We need an AI Engineer who can own projects end-to-end. Not someone who waits for instructions, asks what to do next, or needs hand-holding. We need someone who reads the brief, understands the problem, thinks through edge cases, builds the solution, tests it properly, and ships it with confidence. Then does it again on the next project.

The bar is high. You should be the kind of person who uses AI tools like Claude Code to move at 100x speed -- not as a crutch, but as a multiplier on top of already strong fundamentals. You should be comfortable working across the full stack, from database architecture to API design to frontend polish. And you should care deeply about the quality of what you ship, because at our scale, your work goes directly to clients.

What You'll Actually Do

  • Build complete AI automation systems for clients across insurance, cybersecurity, healthcare, and other sectors. These are not toy projects. They involve real data, real users, and real business outcomes.

  • Design and implement backend architectures using Supabase, PostgreSQL, and serverless functions. You will own data models, API design, authentication flows, and system reliability.

  • Create n8n workflows that orchestrate complex multi-step automations: API calls, data transformations, conditional logic, error handling, webhook integrations, and scheduled triggers.

  • Integrate AI models (Claude, OpenAI) into production systems with proper prompt engineering, output validation, fallback handling, and cost management.

  • Build frontend interfaces - when needed, using Next.js, React, and Tailwind. Dashboards, admin panels, client-facing portals. These should look polished and professional, not like side projects.

  • Own quality from start to finish - You test your own work. You catch edge cases before anyone else does. You do not ship and hope for the best. If something breaks in production, you own the fix immediately.

  • Live in Claude Code - This is not optional. Claude Code is how we build at BraindAI. You will use it every single day to ship faster, debug smarter, and handle complexity that would otherwise take 10x longer. You need to already be an active, daily user who understands how to prompt effectively, when to trust the output, and when to override it. We are not looking for someone who will "learn it on the job.

  • Build systems that make the entire team faster - Beyond your own projects, you will create reusable workflows, prompt templates, internal tools, and automation that raise the output of everyone around you. If you find a pattern that works, you productise it. If a process is manual and repetitive, you automate it. Your impact should extend beyond the code you write for clients.

  • Work within our Delivery Engine- Notion-based project management, async Loom reviews, Slack comms, structured cycles. You will follow the system, not create chaos outside of it.

Requirements

Non-Negotiables

  • Hands-on experience building production software (not academic projects, not tutorials, not half-finished side projects).

  • Strong full-stack capability. You can build a backend API, connect it to a database, and wire up a frontend that works. You do not need separate people for each layer.

  • Proven experience with: Claude Code, n8n, Supabase/PostgreSQL, Next.js/React, Claude API/OpenAI API, webhook-based integrations.

  • Claude Code is non-negotiable. You must be an active, daily user of Claude Code (or equivalent AI-assisted coding tools like Cursor). This is not a "nice to have" or something you are "open to learning." You should already be shipping production code with these tools and be measurably faster because of them. If you are not already working this way, this role is not for you.

  • Autonomous working style. You can take a project brief, break it into tasks, execute without daily check-ins, and deliver on time. If you are blocked, you raise it immediately, not three days later.

  • Strong written communication. Our team is async-first. Your Slack messages, Loom walkthroughs, and Notion updates need to be clear, specific, and professional.

  • Accountability mindset. When something goes wrong, you own it, fix it, and explain what happened. No finger-pointing, no excuses, no silent failures.

Strong Advantages

  • Highly efficient in building agentic architectures using Claude Code
  • Experience with WhatsApp Business API, browser automation (Puppeteer/Playwright), or CRM integrations (Salesforce, Pipedrive, HubSpot).
  • Background in insurance, fintech, or healthcare tech.
  • Experience working in a client services / agency environment where you have shipped for external stakeholders with real deadlines.
  • Familiarity with Notion as a project management tool and Loom for async communication.
  • You have built and deployed n8n workflows in production (not just played around with it locally).

How We Work

  • Cycles, not sprints- Work is organized into 1-2 week cycles with clearly defined features. You pick up features, build them, record a Loom walkthrough, and submit for review.

  • Quality gates before shipping - Every feature goes through AI validation and PM review before it reaches the client. We catch problems early, not in production.

  • Ownership culture - You own your projects. You own your code quality. You own your deadlines. If you need help, ask. If you are stuck, say so. But the default expectation is that you drive your work forward.

  • Transparency over ego - We value people who say "I do not know how to do this yet, but I will figure it out" over people who pretend to know everything and deliver nothing.

How to Apply

Send us your application with the following: https://braindio.notion.site/36c06e84b66b4a72b666f20a8cb49090

  • A short note (not a cover letter essay) on why BraindAI interests you and what you would bring to the team.

  • Your CV or a link to your portfolio/GitHub.

  • One example of something you built end-to-end that you are proud of. Tell us what it does, what stack you used, and what decisions you made.

  • A Loom video walking through the project above. This is required. We are an async-first team, and your ability to communicate clearly on video matters. If a loom is not there, you will not be considered and as applicant
