About Splink
Splink is an AI supply chain technology startup modernizing the $1T consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry — a space still heavily reliant on outdated systems and manual workflows. We partner with leading manufacturers (e.g., P&G, Energizer) and distributors to streamline operations, unlock better decision-making, and drive profitability through intelligent automation and data infrastructure.
We recently closed a funding round and are now building out our engineering team to drive the next stage of product growth.
What this role is about
We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to help build and scale the core platform powering Splink’s next phase of growth. This is a highly hands-on role focused on shipping product, solving complex technical problems, and working closely with leadership to turn operational challenges into scalable software.
You’ll work across the stack to design systems, build new product capabilities, improve reliability, and help shape engineering culture as we continue to grow. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-moving startup environments, enjoys ownership, and wants to help build foundational infrastructure for a massive, underserved industry.
What you’ll do
- Ship product — hands-on, end-to-end. Work on full-stack development across the platform. Design data models, own API contracts, and build user-facing experiences that turn complex operational data into clear, actionable insight for customers.
- Take ownership of the existing system. Absorb deep context from our existing development team. Convert implicit knowledge into documentation, runbooks, and maintainable code. Improve observability, reliability, and deployment safety across the stack.
- Build net-new platform capabilities. Help expand the platform with new systems, workflows, integrations, and AI-enabled tooling that support Splink’s long-term vision.
- Partner closely with founders and stakeholders. Translate business needs and operational complexity into pragmatic technical solutions while collaborating directly with leadership, customers, and internal teams.
- Use modern tooling effectively. Leverage modern AI development tools, such as Claude and Cursor, to accelerate development velocity, reduce busywork, and improve engineering productivity without sacrificing quality.
What we’re looking for in our ideal candidate
- 5+ years of professional full-stack engineering experience, backend-leaning with meaningful frontend ownership
- Strong experience building production systems with real customers and operational data
- Experience designing and working with relational databases and complex data models
- Experience building and maintaining integrations with third-party systems, APIs, or external data sources
- Strong product and engineering instincts – balancing speed, maintainability, and scalability
- Comfort working within and improving an existing codebase without unnecessary overengineering
- Ability to work directly with non-technical stakeholders and translate operational workflows into well-structured systems
- High degree of ownership and self-direction in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Based in or able to commute to Brooklyn, NY, with 3 days per week in-office
- We don’t expect you to have experience in every area listed – if this role excites you and you believe you can grow into it, we encourage you to apply.
Nice-to-have experience (not required!)
- Startup or high-growth company experience
- Exposure to data-intensive or supply chain adjacent domains
- Familiarity with Python-based data pipelines
- Experience translating technical strategy into customer-facing narratives
