Job Title: Mobile App Developer (iOS/Android) – AI-Powered Educational Plant Learning App
Project Overview:

We are seeking a skilled developer to build a "Quizlet for Plants"—an educational app designed to help users memorize and master plant identification through active learning, flashcards, and AI-driven quizzes. Unlike standard identification apps, this tool focuses on retention using Spaced Repetition (SRS) and morphological drills. The overall goal is to build an app where people can learn more about plant species in their region. Ex. zone 5-8 plants (northeast, USA).

1. Key Features to Build
   AI Quiz Engine: Integrate an existing Plant ID API (e.g., PlantNet API or iNaturalist) to allow users to scan a plant and instantly generate a quiz based on that specific species.
   Spaced Repetition System (SRS): Develop a flashcard module that tracks user performance and resurfaces difficult plants at optimized intervals for long-term memory.
   Morphology Drills: Create specialized quiz modes focusing on specific plant parts—leaves, bark, flowers, or fruit—rather than just the species name.
   Regional Decks & Pre-made Content:Support for "Deck" downloads based on geography (e.g., "Pacific Northwest Wildflowers") or category (e.g., "Common Indoor Houseplants").
   Progress Tracking: Comprehensive user dashboard to track "Mastery Level" of various plant families and individual species.

2. Technical Requirements
   Platform: Native (Swift/Kotlin) or Cross-platform (Flutter/React Native).
   AI/ML Integration: Experience with CoreML, TensorFlow Lite, or connecting to RESTful APIs for image recognition.
   Database: A robust backend for storing user progress, high-quality plant imagery, and botanical metadata.
   UI/UX: Focus on a clean, intuitive, and "gamified" interface that encourages daily study sessions.

3. Deliverables
   Functional MVP for both iOS and Android.
   Integrated plant identification and quiz generation logic.
   Offline-first capability for field use.
