  • Contribute to strategic planning, direction, and goal setting for product development programs.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Position Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical discipline required.
  • 3+ years of experience in application engineering, product development, or technical marketing—preferably in the metals, aerospace, or defense sectors.
  • Strong understanding of specialty alloys (e.g., high‑performance stainless steels, superalloys, titanium) and associated manufacturing methods.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly across disciplines and customer-facing environments.
  • Demonstrated success in cross-functional collaboration to define product specifications and accelerate development timelines.
  • Experience contributing to strategic planning and organizational direction.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to compile and assess research data.

Additional Requirements

  • Curiosity-driven mindset with ability to identify latent customer needs and generate innovative solutions.
  • Lead definition of key application requirements in emerging markets and translate insights into actionable development programs.
  • Conduct market intelligence gathering, including competitive and patent landscape analysis, to guide product strategy.
  • Define product performance targets and partner with teams to rapidly assess feasibility using agile prototyping and testing.
  • Generate and validate next-generation product concepts informed by customer feedback and system-level understanding.
  • Support technical marketing with application-based value propositions and early-stage customer engagement.
  • Monitor and interpret industry standards, certification requirements, and competitive benchmarks.
  • Contribute to innovation pipeline activities, including structured ideation sessions and business case inputs.
