Product Engineer: Video & AI

About the Role

We’re looking for a Product Engineer who loves building real products end-to-end. This role sits at the intersection of video technology, AI, and product execution. You’ll ship features that customers use daily, not slide decks.

You’ll work closely with founders, product, and customers to turn ideas into production systems—fast.

What You’ll Do

Build and ship video-centric applications (camera pipelines, streaming, playback, analytics, integrations)

Design and implement end-to-end product features, from backend APIs to frontend experiences

Integrate and leverage LLMs (Claude, OpenAI, etc.) for:

Video intelligence

Automation

Developer tooling

Internal workflows

Use AI coding tools (Cursor, Copilot, Claude, etc.) to move faster and smarter

Prototype quickly, test with real users, and iterate based on feedback

Own projects from idea → implementation → production → improvement

Make pragmatic technical decisions that balance speed, quality, and scale

What We’re Looking For

Strong product engineer mindset — you care about what you’re building and why

Experience with video technologies, such as:

Streaming (RTSP, HLS, WebRTC)

Video encoding/decoding

Video playback, storage, or analytics

Familiarity with LLMs and modern AI tooling

Claude, GPT-4/5, or similar

Prompting, orchestration, and practical use cases

Comfortable using AI coding assistants to accelerate development

A builder mentality

You’ve shipped projects, side projects, startups, or scrappy MVPs

You enjoy ambiguity and figuring things out

Startup hustle: you move fast, take ownership, and don’t wait to be told what to do

Bonus Points

Experience with computer vision or video analytics

Experience working with hardware-adjacent software (cameras, edge devices, NVRs)

Previous startup or early-stage company experience
