Full-stack Software Engineer

We are developing a 3D printing web platform for the factories of the future. At this stage, we are keen to grow our team beyond the core members and would like to find a talented full-stack developer to contribute to work on the web platform. You would be working mostly on the web platform, but there is also scope for you to contribute to the core 3D printing algorithms.


Technical skills:

- Strong grasp of at least one JVM language (e.g. Java, Kotlin, Scala...)
- Experience with React and, ideally, Redux. We may consider candidates who don't have experience with React or Redux if they have significant experience in other relevant areas (e.g. another Javascript UI framework)
- Experience with modern software engineering practices. Source control, unit & integration testing and code review are fundamental parts of the software development process at Ai Build
- We utilise ThreeJS alongside React for the 3D aspects of our UI. Experience with this isn't required but some basic knowledge of geometry and/or 3D engines is desirable

Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the CEO and VP Software Engineering to aid development of the web platform
- Contribute to the technical direction of the software team. Ultimately, we want someone who can show technical leadership skills e.g. by suggesting appropriate technologies or improving the existing codebase
