Job Description:

Poshmark is looking for a talented Staff Software Engineer to lead fast-paced development on search and related features. You will be a crucial member of the Cloud Platform team, working directly with dedicated product managers to build and iterate on a wide range of features centered around helping shoppers find the most relevant products for them.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of scalable product features on the Poshmark platform around search, relevance, personalization, merchandising, and search operations
• Work cross-functionally with other engineering teams, product managers, data analysts, data scientists and data engineers to drive projects from conception to release
• Identify areas of opportunity to improve search
• Mentor others and assume the role as team lead

6-Month Accomplishments:

• Become familiar with Poshmark’s code and infrastructure
• Work with product managers to technically vet new features that they have proposed for feasibility and scoping
• Implement and test improvements to search related to matching, searcher experience, and tooling

12+ Month Accomplishments:

• Establish yourself as technical lead for the search team
• Work with product managers to identify shopper needs and brainstorm ideas to meet them

Desired Skills:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience building products in a high scale environment
• Experience in working cross-functionally with other teams and strong communication skills
• Experience designing and implementing APIs
• Experience mentoring other engineers
• Experience with ElasticSearch/Solr/Lucene or similar technologies a plus

Salary Range:

$155,900.00 - $261,100.00
