DevOps L1 support Engineer

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented DevOps L1 Support Engineer to join our growing team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have 1.5+ year of experience in a DevOps environment, with a strong understanding of AWS, Terraform, YAML, Kubernetes, Grafana, and Datadog. You will be responsible for providing first-level support, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of our infrastructure and applications.

Responsibilities:

• Provide L1 support for our cloud-based infrastructure and applications, primarily on AWS.
• Monitor system performance and availability using Grafana and Datadog.
• Respond to and resolve incidents and alerts in a timely manner.
• Troubleshoot issues related to Kubernetes, Terraform, and YAML configurations.
• Create and maintain documentation for support procedures and troubleshooting guides.
• Collaborate with L2/L3 support teams to escalate and resolve complex issues.
• Participate in on-call rotations as required.
• Execute basic infrastructure changes using Terraform and YAML.
• Assist in the deployment and maintenance of Kubernetes clusters.
• Maintain and improve monitoring dashboards and alerts.
• Follow established incident management and change management processes.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 1 year of experience in a DevOps or related role.
• Basic understanding of AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, etc.).
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and Terraform.
• Experience working with YAML for configuration management.
• Basic knowledge of Kubernetes and containerization.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Grafana and Datadog.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Must be able to work from our Bangalore office.

Preferred Skills:

• AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python).
• Experience with Linux system administration.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
