Junior / Medior Data engineer

Sevendays is an international community of digital professionals working on cutting edge digital projects.

We are looking for a dynamic data engineer with a hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset. You will be working on both customer projects and exciting internal initiatives around data and AI.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop ETL pipelines, deploy cloud workloads, make sense of customer data and build data products. Participate in the development of AI agentic applications using LLMs.

Qualifications

• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, SQL and C#.
• Good understanding and experience of cloud technologies and cloud providers, such as Azure and AWS, and cloud DevOps, or a strong willingness to learn about these.
• Good understanding and experience of ETL workloads and related tools. Knowledge of Databricks is a plus.
• Strong mastery of the English language. Dutch is a plus.
• Pragmatic and customer-oriented, with good communication skills and a positive, humble attitude.
• This position is ideal for a junior or medior candidate, but senior candidates with relevant experience are welcome to apply.

Selection process

One short interview call, followed by a take-home technical assignment. You will be compensated for your time doing the assignment even if you’re not ultimately selected. Please don’t apply if you’re not ready to do the assignment. It consists of a real world exercise close to what you would be doing on a daily basis at Sevendays (no trick questions or tests on obscure knowledge).

Starting day, availability and status

Starting potentially as soon as December 2024 / Janaury 2025. Full-time only (on employee or freelance basis).
