Test Engineer

Key Skills Required

1. Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Java, or JavaScript for tool development.
2. Strong analytical skills to design effective manual test cases.
3. Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
4. Familiarity with popular testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Postman, JMeter).
5. Good understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.

Roles and Responsibilites

Tool Development

• Build and maintain custom testing tools/frameworks to improve efficiency.
• Automate repetitive tasks and integrate tools with CI/CD pipelines.

**Manual Testing*

• Execute test cases and identify defects through thorough manual testing.
• Perform exploratory testing to uncover edge cases.

Test Strategy & Planning

• Design test plans, cases, and scenarios for manual and automated testing.
• Ensure comprehensive coverage for functionality, usability, and performance.
• Should be able to perform rigorous testing by creating large data sets, conduct back-end testing, and validate information as it flows through the system.

Defect Reporting & Collaboration

• Log detailed defects, collaborate with developers, and verify fixes.
• Share testing progress and findings with stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement

• Enhance tools, processes, and testing practices.
• Stay updated with emerging testing technologies and mentor team members.
