Technical Product Manager

Role Overview

We are looking for a Technical Product Manager with a strong technical background in robotics, mechanical systems, electronics, and software integration to lead our multidisciplinary tech team. As part of the founding team, you will play a pivotal role in driving the development of our innovative products, managing the end-to-end product lifecycle, and ensuring smooth collaboration across teams. Your ability to align technical efforts with business goals and deliver impactful solutions will be crucial to our success.

Responsibilities

Project Management

• Oversee the development of robotic systems, managing timelines, resources, and deliverables across mechanical, electronics, and software teams.
• Plan and execute project roadmaps, ensuring alignment with company goals and customer needs.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure effective communication and seamless integration of various tech components.
• Track project progress, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
• Manage field trials, testing schedules, and product iterations based on customer and engineering feedback.

Product Development

• Define product requirements by gathering input from customers, stakeholders, and the engineering team.
• Drive the development of prototypes, testing, and final products while maintaining a focus on quality and functionality.
• Ensure designs meet cost, manufacturability, and performance targets.
• Evaluate market and user feedback to prioritize product improvements and features.

Team Leadership

• Lead and motivate a multidisciplinary tech team, fostering collaboration and innovation.
• Coordinate efforts between mechanical, electronics, and software teams to ensure a cohesive product vision.
• Support the team in troubleshooting and resolving technical challenges.
• Provide mentorship to junior team members and contribute to a culture of learning and growth.

Strategic Contribution

• Work closely with the founding team to align product development with the company's strategic goals.
• Identify and implement best practices for agile product development.
• Represent the tech team in investor discussions, customer engagements, and strategic planning sessions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
• Experience: 4-6 years in a technical leadership or project management role, preferably in robotics or similar domains.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design, electronics integration, and software for robotic systems.
• Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and drive projects to completion.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to handle complex projects.
• Experience with agile development practices and tools like Jira, Trello, or similar.
• Familiarity with product lifecycle management and testing processes.

Preferred Skills

• Hands-on experience in robotics, including hardware and software integration.
• Knowledge of precision agriculture technologies or similar domains.
• Familiarity with customer-focused product design and user testing methodologies.
• Experience in startups or high-growth companies is a plus.
