The Technical Writer, is responsible for producing high quality technical and product documentation for the Next-Gen platform team in Betsson. The ideal candidate will have a technical background, to be able to work closely with the developers and the architects to write detailed technical specifications, while also having experience in casino platforms to better understand the product. Furthermore, the candidate should be a strong communicator, detail-oriented, and with a can-do attitude, allowing the teams to focus on delivering high quality solutions according to the business requirements.
A taster of what you will be involved with
- Planning and delivering detailed product/technical documentation for the appropriate audience.
- Working and collaborating with internal tech/product teams to obtain an in depth understanding of the product specification and the documentation requirements.
- Maintaining and managing a catalogue of product documentations to be reused for multiple scenarios.
- Analysing existing and potential content to make sure it’s up to date.
- Communicating and collaborating with different stakeholders to write, review and update User Manuals, Tutorials and other Product and Technical Documentations.
- Partner Integration documents
- Gather Customer feedback on documentation to improve usability.
Developer Technical Specification included, but not limited to:
- Architectural Diagrams
- Functional Workflows
- Sequence Diagrams
- API Documentations for internal and external use
What we are looking for
- Batchelor’s Degree or Diploma, preferably in a technical field such as computer science, or a focus on English, writing, and communications.
- Preferably 2 years of experience in an IT Development Environment.
- Experience with documenting software architectures using frameworks such as C4 Diagrams or arc42.
- Familiarity with API documentation tools, such as Swagger or Postman.
- Experience working in Agile environments, using tools like JIRA or Trello for tracking and collaboration.
- Strong technical writing skills, with the ability to produce and maintain architectural diagrams, functional workflows and API documentation, for audiences with different levels of technical skills.
- Strong writing, production and technical editing skills using popular tools like Markdown, Confluence, or GitHub.
- Basic understanding of software development and programming languages.
- Experience in using Git or other version control systems to manage documentation changes and maintain version histories.
- Good analytical skills, and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
- Great communication and interpersonal skills: comfortable engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
