Job Summary:

We are seeking a Director, US Brokerage Operations to join our Operations team at Real. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Brokers of Real Brokerage’s operations in our smaller, emerging markets. This position will partner with the COO, Head of Brokerage and VP Operations to define the delivery of exceptional real estate brokerage services to the agents and their clients as well as all operational elements necessary to comply with the individual state licensing law, association membership and MLS participation, along with transaction review process and compliance training, policy & procedure training and best practices adopted at Real Broker. The ideal candidate will have an exceptional track record as a manager and leader in the Real Estate industry, an understanding of real estate brokerage at a national level and a collaborative approach.

Duties/Responsibilities:

The Director, US Brokerage Operations will be working closely with the COO, President, Head of Brokerage and VP of Operations handling cross functionality duties. This role will also be interacting with the US broker team, transaction team, administrative team, brokerage ops management, accounting and our support team as well as other departmental team leads across the region delivering exceptional service and ensuring compliance with all regulatory bodies.

  • As a participant on the REAL leadership team, you ensure that REAL delivers exceptional brokerage support to agents in their representation of clients and customers

  • Partner with stakeholders to develop and deliver broker training to all markets, both during a broker’s onboarding and ongoing training as needed

  • Define and conduct training to support the Supervising Brokers enhancement of agent’s knowledge and understanding of contract, risk management, licensing and state real estate law

  • Provide daily management and supervision of the Brokers in our smallest, emerging markets

  • Effectively consult and engage with the Brokers in problem solving of matters associated with difficult or complex transaction issues

  • Oversee the ongoing enhancement of and compliance with company-wide and individual state brokerage operations manuals

  • Support innovation in how the company can efficiently support its growing state agent base in terms of brokerage operations

  • Such other duties as may be assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Must hold an active real estate broker license with continuing education credits in real estate, management and legal compliance in at least one US state

  • Have a keen interest in and high level experience in real estate compliance activities including a deep knowledge and understanding of legal obligations of real estate professionals under the state and federal law, Department of Commerce Rules & Regulations, Department of Housing and Urban Development, the Code of Ethics and MLS Rules and Regulations

  • Proven track record of managing Designated Managing Brokers, or medium to large brokerage firm, with responsibility for operations or compliance

  • Excellent communication skills - written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills across all levels of the organization

  • Highly collaborative and capable of working with internal partners to facilitate successful results

  • Ability to make quick decisions and solve problems using good judgment

  • Possess the highest degree of integrity

  • Willingness and ability to travel across the country

  • Member in good standing with the National Association of REALTORS

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred

  • Must hold an active real estate broker license

  • Additional real estate designations is a plus

  • Previous experience managing at a national level is a plus
