CSA is looking for an Instructor/Controller in the Hohenfels Germany area.
The Instructor Controller provides technical expertise for the set-up, configuration, operation, training and troubleshooting of U.S. military command and control related clients and software tools. Individual shall be the technical expert on the simulation-stimulation of the systems to include the employment of command and control information systems and the employment of simulations and/or gaming systems that stimulate mission command information systems. Support the design, planning, preparation, execution, and recovery of systems to support exercise control. Provide instruction to personnel as designated by the exercise/event lead to meet individual and unit training objectives. Work in support of IT system configuration; troubleshoot issues, and provide IT quality assurance.
How Your Role Will Make an Impact:
- Utilize experience and skills from the extensive use of command and control information systems and of live, virtual, constructive and gaming simulations per U.S. Army doctrine for training from assignments in U.S. Army branches such as but not limited to Armor, Infantry, Logistics, Artillery, Military Police, Air Defense, Engineer, Aviation, Signal, Transportation and other organizations and branches. This routine use of simulations and/or command and control information systems includes the following specific duties and responsibilities:
- Operate simulation and command and control information system clients and provide functional support and feedback during events.
- Support the technical system used to include writing exercise support plans and identifying personnel requirements.
- Recover and reconsolidate all systems after the exercise to ensure 100% functionality.
- Test and provide operator level maintenance and storage of command and control, simulation, and gaming systems.
- Provide over the shoulder support to the military and civilian personnel on the operation of command and control and supporting simulation systems.
- Support the After Action Review collection and presentation process.
- Provide input to exercise design and technical planning products.
- Develop, refine, execute and manage programs of instruction for simulation systems and command and control information systems as determined by the customer.
- Prepare and provide professional instruction on simulation systems and command and control information systems in a classroom and/or lab environment to U.S. and / or multinational audiences up to approximately 50 personnel.
- Provide technical expertise in the set-up, configuration, testing, training, operating and troubleshooting of simulation, gaming and command and control information systems to support individual, collective, and unit training.
- Support system database development and advise on use of command and control, simulation, and gaming systems to support individual, collective, and unit training objectives.
- Provide IT configuration of stations and related systems.
- Perform IT quality assurance of systems and provide feedback to system network administrators.
- Document and update processes including internal training and certification programs.
- Perform tasks under deadlines.
- Prepared to work at a computer terminal for extended periods.
- Prepared to work 12-hour shifts, day or night, for consecutive days up to 3 weeks.
- Support the preparation, execution, pre-exercise setup and post-exercise recovery and reset of all facilities, workstations, work areas, TOC Pads, and training areas back to their original configurations.
- Participate in individual training, seminars, conferences, exercise/experiment planning events, site surveys, and exercise and training events and supports the planning and preparation processes and product development as needed.
- As required, be prepared to develop assessments input for exercise design, planning, preparation, execution, and after action review of company through COCOM‐level exercises.

- Clearance: Must possess a U".S. Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain top secret w/SCI.
- A bachelor's degree plus 3 years of related experience, OR; An associate's degree plus 7 years of related experience, OR; A major IT certification plus 7 years of recent related experience, OR; 11 years of related experience.

- Desired Skills and Qualifications
- Knowledge of and experience with Army constructive and virtual models and simulations typical of 3 or more years of assignments in the U.S. Army branches of infantry, armor, logistics, artillery, military police, air defense, engineers, aviation, and signal/communications.
- Knowledge of and experience with Army Command and Control Information Systems typical of 3 or more years of assignments in the U.S. Army branches.
- Experience creating gaming simulation databases in support of an exercise, event or testing.
- Experience with US DoD modeling and simulation defense programs.
- Experience using Microsoft Office products required.
- IT systems and network experience desired.
